There's some ego involved, but I believe Mat Ishbia thought Kevin Durant and Devin Booker were enough to contend for a title, no matter who else was on the roster. Plus the second apron is a new concept, so I'm not sure anyone really understood how restrictive it would turn out to be.

What are some places we're daruis garland may go? With Donovan Mitchell extended he will likely be gone, right?
ARTHUR HILL

I expect Garland to be with the Cavs next season. They'll give the new head coach a chance to see if he can make it work with Garland and Mitchell before breaking them up.

Will the Kings have to trade Keegan Murray in order to get a third star in Sacramento?

There aren't a lot of other great trade chips on that roster. I don't see how they can get another star without giving up Murray.

Reed Sheppard or Stephen Castle the better fantasy asset? Thanks

If your league places an emphasis on shooting percentage, go with Sheppard. But Castle figures to get a lot more playing time next season.

I don't understand why the Clippers were so unwilling to add that 4th year to Paul Georges contract. He has been their best of 2nd best player, depending on Leonard's health. To let him walk for nothing is mismanagement. If health was the big question, Leonard is the one with the larger bad health history.

I expected the Clippers to cave the whole time, but it turns out they were serious about not wanting to commit to four years under the second apron. Factoring in health, there's an argument that George has been L.A.'s best player during his time there. It's a huge loss, and they'll need to find a similar replacement to stay in contention.
Thanks for the great questions. We'll talk again next week.
