It doesn't sound like the Nuggets are really a legitimate contender for LeBron (half the reports about his potential destination leave Denver out), but I do think some other dominoes will fall after James picks his team, so maybe that's a factor.

And yeah, there's no point in trading, say, Cameron Johnson if the Nuggets then end up signing-and-trading Watson too. I wouldn't be surprised if Denver's big moves this offseason all happen right around the same time.

Does Kris Murray play meaningful minutes for Memphis this year?

I'm not sure he'll make the regular season roster. Even if he does, "meaningful" minutes? Probably not, unless everyone gets hurt again.

What is the probability of the Raps trade for Kwahi doesn't go thru? What happens then?

Probability is quite low that it falls through. No one involved wants that. The only way I could see it happening is if Kawhi's contract gets voided, which feels like a long shot. Even if he's suspended, I bet the Raptors still trying to do the trade with one or two of the draft assets taken out.

Are people sleeping on the Wizards because they have average to awful for so long? I think the "new" management has put together a pretty impressive team - a playoff team at least - when you look at the starting 5 and the bench strength. You've been pretty quiet on the topic. Will you share your thoughts about the 2026 Washington Wizards>

A lot is hinging on Anthony Davis' availability and level. If he's healthy and playing like Anthony Davis, I like the Wizards quite a bit and think they'll be a solid play-in team and a pretty decent bet to make the playoffs.

Without a healthy and effective AD, I'm less bullish -- they could still be in the play-mix, but guys like Dybantsa, Sarr, Johnson, Riley, and George will be in their pre-prime years and I'm not sure Trae's play-making will elevate them enough to be a serious threat in what should actually be a pretty tough conference.

Hornets have as many picks as anyone in the upcoming drafts. They go the Thunder route and just stockpile them and try to get more hits than misses? Or do they push their chips in eventually for a trade for say Ant or another star?

If I were them, I'd be patient with those picks for now. Wouldn't rule out the possibility of trading for a star down the road, but they can afford to wait for the right opportunity and fit rather than just getting aggressive on the next guy who's seeking a change of scenery.

Hi Luke - for your consideration:  Can a player or a coach on a 1 year contract with only a team option where the team picks up the option reject the position?
Luke Adams

I suppose a coach could step down and a player could refuse to report, but either one would be forfeiting his salary and could get stuck in limbo if the team doesn't let them out of the contract.

Thanks again for all the questions today, guys! We'll do this again next Monday afternoon -- I'm optimistic that by that point, we'll have gone from "What team will LeBron sign with?" to "Why did he choose that team?"

Have a great week!
