Is it clear Freeman won't get a job elsewhere? He was a second-round pick last year and had a pretty great Summer League this month. I bet there will be other teams willing to give him a two-way deal, and now he has a chance to choose his destination for the first time.

Might have he gotten a free $85K if he'd accepted the Pacers' QO and then they'd waived him to sign Taelon Peter? Possibly. But by accepting the QO, you also risk locking yourself into that situation for months before you know for sure whether the team actually plans to keep you.

Do you see a trade market for Robert Williams? A return to Boston makes some sense.

If he proves he's healthy, there will be some interested teams. His value right now is gonna be limited though. He's played 26 games in the last two seasons. No one's giving up anything of value for a role player with such inconsistent availability until he strings a few more games together.

Any Pistons updates? What do you think they do with their 2 open roster spots?
Luke Adams
2:52
They're one of the few teams left with open roster spots AND the financial flexibility to actually spend on those spots. I'd love to see them use their $14MM trade exception to acquire a rotation player or two from a team looking to cut costs. Dean Wade, Georges Niang, and Ochai Agbaji are a few names that come to mind off the top of my head. Also wouldn't mind a stretch big for them, like Chris Boucher or Trey Lyles.

Do you think the Wiz have more roster moves coming this Summer? They have a really odd 15 man roster balance right now with 2 centers, 0 pure point guards, and 13 wings.

Yeah, there are some teams where the 14-15 players they have on standard deals now are the ones that they'll enter the season with, but I don't think the Wizards are one of them. They're in a really good position to keep dealing, as I outlined in a story a couple days ago. Sounds like they still want to bring Anthony Gill back too, not that that will help much with the depth chart breakdown.

Offseason business is mostly concluded, who are you 3 most improved teams and 3 most worse for wear?
Luke Adams

Still curious to see what happens with the big RFAs before I make any final rulings, but off the top of my head, I really liked what Denver, Houston, and Atlanta did and am less in love with Sacramento, New Orleans, and Brooklyn.

Your guess at what Giddey and the Bulls settle at? 25 per year seems like a win for both
Luke Adams

Based on the reporting that Giddey wants $30MM per year and the Bulls want closer to $20MM per year, that seems like the obvious compromise.

I wonder if any of these RFAs will get deals with incentives. We haven't seen a single contract that includes incentives so far this offseason, since they complicate matters for apron rules, but achievable incentives are a good way to bridge a gap between a player and a team in negotiations like these ones (Poole, Cam Johnson, Herro, Barrett, and a bunch of other guys signed rookie scale extensions heavy on incentives in recent years).

Will Detroit look to extend Ivey or Duren or both? Thanks!
Luke Adams
3:02
Would certainly expect them to have conversations with both players. The Ivey talks could be tricky since he's coming off such a major injury, but maybe that'll help grease the wheels for a compromise.

Has Kuminga's agent bungled his RFA so far?
Luke Adams
3:03
I wouldn't say so. He's basically in the same spot as Grimes, Giddey, and Thomas, except there have been more rumors about teams making sign-and-trade offers for Kuminga. I bet he ultimately makes out pretty well.

Thanks for all the questions this week, guys! Still a ton in the queue that I wasn't able to get to. Have a great week and we'll do this again next Thursday!
