Can George be flipped by Boston to another team to get a better long term partner for Tatum?

That'll be tricky to do in the short term. Not many teams are in position to take on a $54MM salary, and George is still viewed as a negative asset.

Maaaybe they could do something at the trade deadline, but it wouldn't surprise me if they hold him until next offseason and then trade him for 2-3 players. I think they'd rather be spreading that money out among a few guys for depth purposes.

why am I pushing so hard for expansion and not worrying about the real issues in the NBA? It seems like there’s too many horrible teams to actually expand why would we add 2 more teams that are most likely going to be bad as well? Feels like I need to fix how top heavy the league is and address the watchability of the game when it comes to flopping before worrying about expansion right?

I'm not sure I agree that you're pushing hard for expansion! It's something that people have been asking about for years and you've continually put it off until now -- and even now, it sounds like you're more focused on NBA Europe than bringing back the Sonics.

I also disagree that "too many horrible teams" is a pressing issue right now. It has been in the recent past, but I actually think that with a couple exceptions, most of the league should be reasonably competitive in 2026/27. Your new anti-tanking rules will play a part in that.

You see Missi getting traded before the deadline? I can think of a couple of teams that could use his skillset, including my Pacers.  Maybe Walker and two 2nds for Missi?

I think they definitely SHOULD be willing to trade Missi, but it's hard to predict Joe Dumars' moves.

As for that specific proposal, Walker will have to be pretty solid off the bench in the first half for the Pelicans to pull the trigger on that one. New Orleans has wanted a first-rounder for Missi, and the Pacers might have to attach a second-rounder or two to Walker just to move him, given their proximity to the tax.
Thanks for all the questions today, guys! Have a great week and we'll do this again next Monday afternoon.
