Do you think Nassir Little Signs an Extension?  What about Jerami Grant?
Dana Gauruder
12:20
My take on Grant is that Portland wouldn't have made that deal just as a one-year rental. He's a pretty solid two-way piece. Note that Portland could only offer Grant up to $45.1MM for two years right now, but he’d become eligible for a four-year extension worth up to $112.7MM six months after the trade. So I'd think Grant isn't going to sign anything until the numbers go up. As for Little, there is some incentive for him to pursue an extension rather than essentially betting on himself this season. He's coming off an injury-riddled season. However, there hasn't been any chatter regarding a Little extension -- perhaps things heat up during camp.

Dalen Terry proving he’s an nba player, Ayo and Patrick continued growth is more important this year than our record at the end; true or false? East passed the bulls, and I know my team doesn’t go into the luxury tax, next offseason is better for us for dramatic moves

The Bulls have made some pretty serious moves the last two offseasons. Getting LaVine to re-sign was key, obviously, and the DeRozan/Ball moves last summer were pretty dramatic. Certainly, you'd want to see that young trio emerge this season as key pieces for the future. Not sure how much PT Terry and Ayo will get, especially when Ball returns to action. Ball, Caruso and Dragic will eat a lot of those backcourt minutes. Williams, though, will be a key to their season coming off the injury-plagued season. They look at him as their defensive ace and he'll have to contribute on the boards as well. Bulls have enough talent to finish top 6 if they don't get bit by injury bug agian.

Are the lakers really going to make the smart move and punt on the season by not trading Westbrook?
Dana Gauruder
12:27
It's going to be an awkward situation for sure. My thinking is they're hoping a deal comes along where they don't have to forfeit those 2 future picks just to shed his contract. Skepticism is reasonable but there's an insistence that Westbrook is going to be part of that rotation if he's not dealt. The questions won't go away until/unless he's dealt but that giant contract is a major stumbling block.

Given the size of some of the Western Conference teams that the Golden State Warriors may see in the playoffs such as Denver, Minnesota and the Lakers do you think if they don't get Andre Iguodala back they will sign a center? Could you see DeMarcus Cousins back in the bay?
Dana Gauruder
12:31
I'd be surprised if Cousins winds up there, though I wouldn't go as far as saying that it's out of the question. The Warriors won the championship despite being thin up front last season, so I don't see them necessarily signing a center if Iguodala hangs up his sneakers. They re-signed Looney, Wiseman will hopeful be ready to contribute, plus they added JaMychal Green. So either of the Greens could slide to the middle in smaller lineups.

With Giannis slightly tweaking his ankle and Luca complaining about the schedule do you think it might be a scenario in the next Collective Agreement that they may put some type of a ban or insurance or something along those lines when players play in that Euro league tournament
Dana Gauruder
12:36
I doubt that will be a big deal for owners in the next CBA. There is a great sense of national pride with NBA players representing various counties. EuroBasket and similar events generate a lot of excitement and interest. There are a lot of coaches and front office people who don't mind their players participating in those events. The players stay in basketball shape.

As of this very moment are Westbrook trade rumors more clickbait than plausible?
Dana Gauruder
12:42
I certainly believe the Lakers would prefer to move Westbrook but the lack of assets, due largely to the AD trade, has made it difficult. Indiana and Utah, given their current situations, are the most likely landing spots. There will always be rumors and speculation regarding any player on the market. It'll come down to how badly the Lakers want to move him, especially if things go sour during camp or early in the season.
12:46
If you're looking for which team might make significant moves over the next month, the Jazz would lead the pack. Bojan Bogdanovic, Malik Beasley and Jordan Clarkson could all be dealt if Danny Ainge can find a suitable offer. It'll be tougher to move Conley, given his age and contract.
12:50
Checking in on the free agent market, there are still quite a few interesting names out there. Among the guards, I have to believe someone will sign Schroder pretty soon. I think someone will pick up Frank Jackson.
12:53
The frontcourt pool is deeper with grizzled vets. Of course Carmelo is out there, as well as Blake Griffin. Jabari Parker, Trevor Ariza and James Johnson are some interesting names out there as well. Along with the aforementioned Cousins, it'll be interesting to see if Whiteside. Dwight Howard, Tristan Thompson and Cody Zeller get another chance to play in the league.

Whst potential implications could the rising salary cap have on the league in the future?
Dana Gauruder
12:59
Win-win situation for all involved. The front offices will have more wiggle room to work with, while the players get a little extra coin. It's likely to be most beneficial to the star players -- as we've seen, their salaries continue to rise to mind-boggling numbers, similar to what we're seeing in baseball and football (especially quarterbacks). The days of the $50 million and $60 million salaries per season for the superstars is just around the corner.

Raptors over under 54.5 wins this season?
Dana Gauruder
1:04
I'd project lower, considering the improvement and parity across the Eastern Conference. Other than Indiana, Detroit, Orlando, Charlotte and perhaps Washington, it's going to be a fierce fight in the conference for playoff seedings. Even some of the teams mentioned above project to be better, particularly the Pistons and Magic with their lottery additions. Last season, the top seed in East had 53 wins. I don't see anyone running away from the pack this season, either. I'd project the Raptors more in the 49.5 over-under range.

Timberwolves add another pg possibly?
Dana Gauruder
1:08
Right now they've got Russell and McLaughlin. They've got some other guards who could run the point if needed. They might be in the market for another pure point man but they could look to see who gets waived by other teams near the end of training camp rather than signing someone before camp.

Hornets add or trade for anyone?
Dana Gauruder

The Hornets have been awfully quiet. No real buzz going on with them. They might add a veteran free agent to back up Ball but it doesn't appear any trade are imminent.

Do you think Ben Simmons will actually play this year, and do you think the Nets will bring back Lamarcus Aldridge to be the back up center?
Dana Gauruder
1:15
Interesting that there hasn't been much buzz regarding Aldridge. They recently added Morris, so I don't know if power forward depth is a priority right now. In terms of Simmons, yes, I do see him playing. He's a big part of their plans and I don't see him sitting out another season.
