Is it me or is it crazy to think that Pittsburgh has not hosted an all star game in the Sid/Geno era? What do you think could be the reason behind that?

The Penguins have prioritized getting other events, but yeah, it is nuts. Not since 1990, I believe. They should absolutely get one before those guys retire. Such a joke.
And I don't think the NHL realizes how frustrated people are around here over that.

to piggyback on earlier question, why is it not likely or reasonable to put Malkin and Brassard together with Brassard at Center to maybe get both of them going and then Have Sheahan as the 3rd center.

Because you don't play Evgeni Malkin out of position for that. You play him out of position to play him with Sid. Not to create a mishmash of a third line.

Six of Boyle's goals were on the power play, it's a foregone conclusion he would not be on our power play. Much like Brassard's production dipped without the extra power play time, Boyle's would as well, and it would be much worse.

I see what you're saying. I think it's a valid point. I also think there's a possibility Boyle could help a lot. Simple answer is we don't have a definitive answer either way. We can talk about it, but nobody can declare a victory or anything like that since, you know, it hasn't actually happened.
