Dumoulin did sign a six-year deal. As for Sheary, I think the bridge deal was because of his slump in the playoffs and the fact that he was undrafted. Basically both sides were OK with the bridge deal, believing he could earn more with solid productive over the next three seasons.

I'm not specifically looking for anything. I just love details that make the players feel less like untouchables and more like real people. Is cheesecake really crosby's favorite dessert, what ice cream flavors do they like, favorite fast food joints for the team. Those are just some things that came to mind but obviously does not need to be food related. Just anything you can share. Thanks, Jason.

Ha. Many of the players do not eat fast food. Apparently Brian Dumoulin is a popular dining partner on the road. Very into food. Very into trying new things and finding hot spots.

Any potential UFA's you think the Pens might be interested in if they end up needing to add scoring depth to the lineup?

I think it's too early at this point, Dick. I don't look at this team as one that's going to make a big splash with anything next summer, honestly. Look for them to sign their current guys.

Hey Jason, do you believe we have the “build” this year to compete with Tampa Bay? What is your take on that situation and do you see them coming out on top in the Atlantic?

I do see Tampa as the best out of the Atlantic, and I think the Penguins -- ignore their current state -- are right there with them. They maybe need some more depth scoring, but I think the Pens are still among the top two or three teams in the East.
