I think as he gets more comfortable, he'll assert himself more. He's really young. You have to give him some time to grow.

Something that bugged me throughout this season is why Phil wasnt forced to rest when he was obviously insured. I get he didn't want to break his streak but shouldn't Sully or GMJR have forced him to for the betterment of the team as a whole ? Did they try and were unable to? Whats situation in play there?

I think Sullivan allowed him to keep playing. I think GMJR probably would've preferred he sit but didn't want to meddle in the coach's/player's business. Then come playoff time, Phil didn't do enough to play through whatever was bugging him, and that bothered Sullivan, because he took the player's side and let him keep his streak going.
