Hi Jason, I understand that there is a difference between taking one step and taking multiple very much. The reason I made that comment to preface my question is that you almost always make comments along those lines when fans raise questions. Maybe it's just the digital format, but it comes off as condescending, as though if you take on the question seriously, it automatically becomes a prediction or something to that effect.

Obviously, there's very little chance that a random fan will ask a question that accurately predicts the steps that a team would take. Even the information that we have as a public in terms of assessing value is going to be different than the team's way of valuing and assessing. The reason to be interested in a guy like Lowrie is that he can easily fit in for part of a year, and you can buy extra prospect value by doing so. The days of teams just parting with their top prospects are over - look at LAD - but absorbing mediocre/bad contracts is one way to help boost a rebuild/retool.

Yes, I do have some fun with the hypothetical questions. Trust me, sit on this side, get asked 100 hypothetical questions and see not one of them come true, and see if your opinion doesn't change. I do try to take all of them with a grain of salt; so, I'm sorry if that line got blurry. I never, ever want to think readers to think I take their reading or attention for granted. I'm grateful beyond words for it. It's more just a light-hearted jab or a way to have some fun with the whole thing because there's only so much organizations will communicate to us, too. ... I don't agree on Lowrie, though. And that should be OK, the same as you liking it. I just don't see what it accomplishes.

Superb rendition of Cold Rain and Snow in that '89 Buffalo concert

Agree. Also my favorite Bertha ever. The July '89 run might be my favorite band era, along with April/May '77, summer/fall '72, April '71, Spring of '90, etc.
