You very much are, Steve. Thank you for watching, but I'm from Brentwood. Way better than New York.

How much trouble are the Pirates in if Tarik Skubal wins his arbitration hearing with Detroit (for $32M)? If he loses ($19M) the top of the arb pitching market is unaffected and Skenes will set that market himself. Feels like it'll be harder to keep him deeper into his arb years if there's a $32M precedent vs if Skenes will have a chance to set the market

On one hand, yeah, not great. Could cost the Pirates. However, I don't think they'll employ Skenes for his Arb-3 season. I'm also not going to waste time pondering how things might look with a new CBA. There's just so much than can change.

Final one from the pierogis today Jason thank you so much for all you do with these and putting up with some of these questions lol. Any chance we could get some sort of investigative journalism on why we’ve seemingly abandoned our black P home alternates, as well as if another city connect is in store this year since the previous ones are now heavily discounted in the team store?

Thank you, Oliver. I will look into it.

I would love to see the Pirates make a move like the Cubs did last year for Michael Busch. Have some foresight into a player who is primed to blossom, as opposed to settling for a barely replacement level player like Bohm. Have you heard of any interest in Lawler?

I have not, but I don't understand why they would do that. They need a 3B who can hit now. Not a converted SS who's really a flier when they their SS of the future knocking on the door. Who they could extend, BTW.

What is your over/under for win totals this year? Keep up the good work!
Jason Mackey

Thanks, Scott. You gotta set a number for that to work! I think they'll be around 85-86 wins.

Jason, what has happened to Jarred Jones?  I have seen or heard anything about him.

He had internal brace surgery -- different than Tommy John. He recently threw his first bullpen since the procedure, and he's expected back in May-June (probably the latter).

Have you heard anything that the pirates are not close on Suarez or is it just your own speculation?
Jason Mackey

As Mike Sullivan used to say, a little bit of both.

OK, folks. That does it for this week. Have to get back to some other stuff. Ton of great questions this week. Always appreciate it. Talk to yinz next Thursday.
