It is tough, but I'm incredibly lucky to have this job, believe me. I miss my wife and kids every day. They're the greatest. And yeah, it's all hard. We've gotten used to this just being dad's work and how our family functions. Spring training is a little more difficult, but my wife is a saint. I could not do any of this without her.

To build off what Markr said, why not trade for someone like Yasmany Tomas? The Diamondbacks would likely trade prospects to dump his salary, and the Pirates have plenty of payroll space

I don't understand why all of a sudden we're looking at the Pirates as a fertile dumping ground for salary. Didn't they not spend money, like ... an hour ago?

Regarding the 26th man, are the Pirates still looking to carry 3 catchers on the roster?
