At this point, I'm gonna have a tough time passing on Paul Skenes. Still learning more, but a dude who throws 100-plus, with what scouts have been saying about him. I know Crews is good. But this Skenes kid keeps generating more and more hype with as well as he's pitching. It would be one of the LSU kids, though.

Back to Blake Sabol, I still do not understand why he was not protected. If you look at his minor league career, he has progressed in every facet from year to year, so why wouldn't BC protect a player like that? We are going to watch him produce for years and it won't be in a Pirates uniform.

I think they gambled that given, the position(s) he played, nobody would take him. They obviously lost that bet.
