As someone who travels to ballparks for a living, I think PNC Park does a very good job of maintaining tradition with also keeping things current and having some sort of distinctive feel. Also, who said old music is bad?

Hello Jason.  What do you think the chances are of Reynolds, Newman, Stallings and Hayes winning a gold glove?  (Those names sound like a law firm.)😀

Haha. I think they're very good for Stallings, first off. I like his chances a lot. I don't think so on Newman. He's slumped a little, and it's tough with Lindor, Rojas, Crawford, etc. Probably not on Reynolds, although I think that's wrong. If you look at some of his advanced numbers they're not terribly favorable, and that's insane. He's one of the best at the position I've seen. But not everyone gets to watch him as much as we do.

What I mean: FanGraphs has him at -5 Defensive Runs Saved. That's 47th and nuts, if you ask me. But I also respect FanGraphs and think the site does a really good job.

Is there a future with some of these new guys like Hoy Park or Bryse Wilson?  Obviously if they do well they’re gonna stay, but do you think their a legitimate piece to the future of the team?

Oh, no doubt. Especially Wilson. They need pitching. If this dude can come in and throw strikes, get weak contact and work efficiently, there's absolutely space for him. And I've liked what I've seen out of Park, too.

Yeah, that's weird. I saw that. I've been doing this and not in Milwaukee. They said they expected him. Either they'll announce it separately or something happened. No pregame access today because it's a day game.

Hey Don. Yeah, there will be a trickle down. Won't be huge, but you will see moves made to change and clear space. I think we've started to see some already.

What happens to the high schoolers?  Will they go to Pirate City for workouts, etc...  What does that process look like?

Yes, they go to Pirate City for workouts. Consists of a lot of stuff. Some of it involves classes on how to manage money or act as a pro. Involves lifting, nutrition, conditioning, baseball drills, meeting with people, baseline testing. Basically an onboarding process with a little bit of baseball practice and drills mixed in.

gamel looks like he could stick around for a couple of year no? I've been happy with him. Is Nogo back next year with us? He's definitely dropped off which was expected but brings energy.

I don't think so on Nogowski. I mean, I don't know. Maybe I should relax and let the year play out. But they need to let Moran play to up his trade value. They need not block Mason Martin. They have other guys who can back up there. Might wanna see Cruz or Castro get a chance there to see their bat. I like Nogowski, believe me, but I'm not sure I see him as being a building block for the future.

There has been some chatter from fans on Twitter about Hayes’ injury possibly playing a role in his current slump. Is there anything to that or do you think this is just the league punching back?

I've seen nothing to indicate Hayes has been playing hurt. Shoot, half of his issue right now is taking too many good pitches. Did he strain a brain muscle? I don't subscribe to that.

I think we're bumping our heads against the ceiling here. They need to get Alford up, Mitchell to AA and Fraizer to AAA. That's the move, IMO.

If Mitch Keller continues to pitch poorly, is there a chance the Pirates take him off the 40 man this winter? Or would that come further down the road?

I'm sure there's a chance, sure. It would have to be really bad, though. My feeling: He's gonna pitch well enough down the stretch to where that doesn't make sense.

They would need more of a bullpen than they have right now. Depends on how far you wanna go with that question.
