Saw you asked the same one above. Starting pitching one, catching two.

If you're Kyle freakin' Crick, shouldn't you be self aware enough to keep your envy of the best closer in baseball's liberties to yourself?

I’ve always been told a baseball team has to be strong up the middle. It seems to me that they are missing two pieces: a second baseman and a catcher. They have a center fielder and a shortstop.  The Pirates need to find a catcher and an everyday second baseman. Stallings/Diaz Is not the answer. A catcher is the first need. Thoughts?

Catcher is important, absolutely. I like Stallings ... but as a backup. Be careful at second base. If you look at numbers, Frazier has actually handled himself quite well there. He's one of the better second basemen in the league. I don't see that as a huge problem at this point. They certainly have bigger.

I understand that NH has payroll constraints.  I'm sure he'd love to be able to work with LA's or Boston's budget.  But it doesn't excuse their drafting and development failures.  If they aren't going to ever change the former, what can they do to change the latter?

They can gut their drafting and development situation, for one. And I think they need to. I agree with. Franchises like the Pirates, they can't afford to miss as much as they have when it comes to drafting and developing. And they have, hence why they've struggled.

OK, folks. That does it for this week. Thanks, as always, for participating. Until next time ...
