I think they will. I really like Drew Allar. Did a story on him last fall, a deeper one. There's so much there. Don't think he has scratched the surface. I hope they do. I have enjoyed my time covering Penn State and would not mind doing so as a columnist.

Of course, Jesse. Thank you for participating. I didn't hear this. Had heard they wanted to improve the power play. Had heard they wanted to bring Jagr back. Not sure they're related. I wouldn't turn down his thoughts or input, but I think they need someone dedicated to that unit and implementing new stuff. Even a full-time power play coach.

I would be looking to trade from the lower levels, prospects with upside. Basically reverse engineer the Carlos Santana trade from last season. The Pirates have those guys.

Any chance in the future O'Neil Cruz gets moved to the OF and Peguero comes up to be the everyday SS?  Taylor & Suwinski are not the answers. Also, any idea on when Bart will return from IL?  Thanks!

Bart isn't close, as I understand it. Was two weeks of no-gripping, and we're waiting for an answer beyond that. I do worry about Cruz's defense long-term, though I wanna give him this year to see what he can do before broaching a move with him. Not sure if Peguero would be the guy. He's been better of late, and I wanna see him get a chance. But not sure I'm ready to commit to him as the SS of the future at this point.

If we're lucky, Pirates fans will get 5 more years of Jones and Skenes before they hit FA. The Pirates have to take advantage of this window as it unlikely to happen again, right?

Temarr Johnson has struggled at Greensboro. I wouldn't give up on him at all, but does this make him a potential trade chip?

I wouldn't trade Termarr. He's so young. He's gonna struggle. That's OK. I think there's a really special player in there, and I would be reluctant to move him. That being said, if it was absolutely essential for a deal that made sense, my list of untouchables for the Pirates is very short.

Not a big Olympics guy, but I do love track and field stuff. Always loved the throwing events. Kinda can't pass on swimming, either.
