Some Pirates with service time might be looking for ticket out, but you'd hope to see some fire from younger players getting an opportunity to show they belong.  It's great seeing Cruz and Castro turning a corner and trending up.

I'm not sure I feel terribly confident about either one at this point. But I get what you're saying. If they can't stop the run better than they have the past couple of weeks, they're gonna continue to get clobbered.

Sensing that the Hank Davis pick, is not as strong today as when he was selected #1. Injuries and it feels like his future is more of a DH and potentially a catcher/1st baseman. Hope he can be an every day player..

Certainly has hasn't performed as you would expect for someone of that stature. I also think he's hardly a finished product. Plenty of time. Will be interesting to see how he fares in the Arizona Fall League.

I think so, yes. I think it's gonna get so bad that they pretty much have to. It's not ideal, but I just don't think he's very good.

MLBTR has Chavis and Allen outrighted by Pirates.  As the season is over in the minors, can't they both just leave?  Why not release them ?

Oh, man. I completely missed that. Stupid me. That's embarrassing. Sorry. I'm sure someone will be called up; however, I don't think it will be because of strictly performance. I think it would have to be for an injury.

Good Q Bucco. I think so -- assuming you mea Duzz. To his credit, he's really built something nie here. Has facilities. Has money. Sure, Alabama would be an upgrade or anywhere like that. Those schools also aren't calling, neither is Michigan State. If/until he turns Pitt into Clemson, I think Narduzzi stays in Oakland.
