I think Najee gets a lot of grief he doesn't deserve. He's a solid player and can take over a game if he gets some decent blocking. Am I wrong ?

No, you're not. But his running style and the Steelers offense isn't necessarily a great fit.

The Cherrington thing was definitely a statement. I guess it's good to know he's not working cheap but then I really don't get what they see in him.
Jason Mackey

Neither do I.

Someone posted it on Facebook. I guess he inquired about the position in 2022 and they turned him down. After the debacle of Andy Haines what do the have to loose ?
Jason Mackey

I would look for someone younger, honestly. Maybe a former player who didn't retire that long ago.

I too lived in and around DC for a while and was familar with schools like DeMatha and some others and I can see where they'd have a significant advantage over public schools in the DC area and not just in terms of athletics. I taught in the Prince Goerge County schools and if my choices for my kids were DeMatha or the Prince George County schools it would be DeMatha, athletes or not. But that's a world away from choosing between Bishop Carroll in Ebensburg and Central Cambria. I'm fine with whatever happens. This looks like another statement rather than a question.

The Pirates are good as gone in 2030 when the lease is done. Bob doesn't care about Pittsburgh and stands to make a gazillion dollars in a place like Charlotte or Nashville and MLB wants them in a bigger market, only cares about money and sees Pittsburgh as a dying market

Have said this a bazillion times before, I don't agree with you. Where else will an owner get to support a product that is perpetually lousy -- save for 3 years -- and fans are dealt steady doses of frustration? Plus, in his own weird way, I think Bob may actually believe he's doing a good thing with his stewardship of the Pirates. (I don't agree with it. Just giving you my impression of his thoughts.)

Roger Goddell is a W&J grad and he is ultimately in charge of the officiating. Do we REALLY need another reason to dislike W& J grads
Jason Mackey
1:03
Ha. I have nothing against W&J. But if you wanna fix NFL officiating, you should obviously be looked at Westminster College.

Any chance the Pirates resign Chapman? He was good down the stretch and can still bring it! Love the stare down!

I don't see it. I think he still has something there. Would imagine at his age, he probably wants to pitch for a team he knows will compete. That won't be here. Again, I'd love it. He did well. I just don't see why he would want to do this again when he could pitch for a contender.

OK, folks. That does it for this week. Thanks so much. Love these. Let's talk again next Thursday.
