I think the odds of a strike are still very low, because there's so much money at stake, but all the negotiations will be extra contentious

Are the Yankees really planning on starting Andujar and Torres at 3B and 2B respectively as of now? I don't even think it's an awful idea--going with the young guns certainly worked well for them in 2017--just seems uncharacteristic for a team going all-in.

Much is being made of the Giants somewhat Phillian refusal to rebuild. To me, the decision seems pretty easy: they just don't have enough value on any of their tradeable assets because they all had down years last year. Are the Giants being as stupid as some experts think?

I don't think the Giants are "being stupid." A series of decisions has just led them to a scenario where their 2019-2021 seasons look deeply troubling. No one would've expected the 2017 Giants to fall on their faces. If they had a stronger player-development system, this wouldn't look so bad
