Do you think statcast data is changing how teams evaluate defense and that it's contributing to decreasing free agent values?  Mike Moustakas' UZR was bad, but I wonder if statcast showed his defense was even worse which further hurt potential contracts.

I'm not sure teams have done all that much with Statcast data and defenders in the infield
They're definitely using it in the outfield
I don't think you need Statcast to see that Moustakas had a rough 2017 in the field

Speaking of over-reacting to ST performances...the Braves have to be excited about Preston Tucker, right? Only 1 strikeout in 37 PA. Showing good power. He's hit in the minors so maybe there's something there?

Jeff, regarding pitchers effort, I thought I read a few years ago that Strasburg's dad said that Strasburg can throw 105MPH but he purposefully keeps it around 95 MPH to not get hurt.  Did you read that?
