Wendell Davis told me that his decision was not based on playing time, but he didn’t expand beyond that. At the same time, it’s hard to believe both weren’t based on playing time. Wendell Davis was passed at MLB by SirVocea Dennis, and AJ Davis didn’t really have a role in the running back room.
In regards to their decisions, I don’t buy this as them quitting on their team. AJ Davis had to stop playing this year in order to redshirt and have eligibility next season. And Wendell Davis, like most players who are entering the portal midseason, likely felt like ripping the bandaid off was better than letting it fester.
With coaches trying to figure out roster spots for 2022 in recruiting and a super active transfer portal, you’re doing yourself a disservice if you know you’re leaving but you wait to enter your name. Just the way college football works these days.

Who will have more wins this year Rutgers or the NY Giants

lol probably Rutgers

Is Davis Beville the QB next season?

This might be a cop out, but I really do think it’s too early to tell. I will say: I like what I’ve seen from Nick Patti and it’s obvious Mark Whipple does, too, with him being Pickett’s clear No. 2.

I really wanted to go to Stock & Barrel in Knoxville this year, but it was closed. I haven’t been able to explore ACC country as much as I’d like. Two in the Big Ten that stick out to me: Pullman Diner in Iowa City and State Street Brats in Madison, Wisconsin.

Why  does  everyone  keep blaming the  defense  for  lost  games just because  the  score was  high  ? In each lost  the offense had a  chance  to win but each  time Kenny Pickett took a  crucial long yardage  sack instead of throwing the  ball away, which was  followedby an intereption in theMiami game.
sorry  got  cut off. I'm not  saying 38 points is  good or acceptable but  isn't it the offenses  job to score 39. and if in place to do so and  don't is it the defenses  fault  ?

Look, Kenny Pickett definitely needs to be held accountable, and he does hold himself accountable. But I think it’s hard to blame him during a season in which he’s thrown 26 touchdowns and 3 INTs. In its two losses, the defense hasn’t held up its end of the bargain.

Say the Panthers split the rest of their games. Will Narduzzi be on the hot seat or at least a warm seat considering this was the best team he's had and they blew the opportunity to do something special?
Johnny McGonigal
11:57
If Pitt splits its final four games, loses its bowl game and finishes 8-5? That seat should be warm. Because the post-Kenny Pickett life doesn’t look all that promising.
But for the record, I don’t think that happens. I think they finish 9-4 at worst at this point.

In your opinion, was it a Safety on Saturday?
Johnny McGonigal

From my view from the 50-yard line in the press box, it was impossible to tell. But going off all the different videos, it seems like he might’ve barely got the ball over the plane on the initial effort. My question is, should forward progress have been given? Because if Knighton bounces that and gets 10 yards, he would’ve been awarded the gain. Tough call.

Post 2000s. Make a fantasy football lineup of the best college football players. 2 RBs, 2 WRs, flex, Defense, ST, Kicker, one QB

This is a good one to end on …
12:01
Off the top of my head, I’d go with this …
QB: Joe Burrow, LSU
RB: Reggie Bush, USC
RB: Derrick Henry, Alabama
WR: Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Pitt
TE: Vernon Davis, Maryland
FLEX: Saquon Barkley, Penn State
Defense: 2001 Miami
Kicker: Nick Sciba, Wake Forest (recency bias)
