Don't know if you received my initial question, hence this 'duplicate':  I'm in a mixed league with 12 teams, H to H with 26 categories.  Of the following SP's, which two would you drop:  Hunter Brown, Scherzer, C. Burnes, Bobby Miller, Ranger Suarez, Cristopher Sanchez, Pivetta, Gavin Stone, Kikuchi, Darvish and Musgrove.  I rely on your site and Ron Shandler's site in making decisions about my roster.  Thanks for your excellent work!

I'd drop Musgrove and Darvish. Bobby Miller could also be a consideration, though team context and overall pedigree gives him a longer leash. Could see him turning it around in 2H and dominating.

Burleson and ... Jones. PHI and MIA have some nasty matchups; Jones is going to log more AB I'll bet.

Hello Brent,
In a H2H weekly points league, I need to decide on my fourth pitcher for the week. I've narrowed my choices down to the following:

Gil - Cin, Bos
Parker - NYM
Lugo - @Col

Gil's double dip looks tempting, but he's been terrible in his last two starts and perhaps has been pitching better than his perphs would suggest for the previous two months. (Ray has him in the "Judgement Call" tier in his column.) Lugo has been borderline outstanding all season. And Parker has been consistently solid over his last several starts.

I should add that SP get one point per inning pitched in our scoring system. Who do you recommend?
Thanks.

Think I'd take the Gil "judgment call" ... but if you're wary, Lugo has been pitching super deep and that COL lineup is rough. Even in Coors, could see that working for Lugo

Hi Brent!  In an NL 4x4,  was in 1st all season and dropped to 3rd after getting walloped by my pitching and injuries to Betts and Acuna.   Trying to make a deal to help get my team back to 1st.    Contract expiring-non keeper eligible players like Abrams and Stott are available.  I hate parting with prospects, but do you see Amador and Waldrep really doing well next season?  i have them both super cheap ($1) and trying to walk that fine line of finishing high this year while still  not selling the farm. Thanks!

There's enough disparity re: evaluations of Amador, that I could see using him to try and upgrade with Abrams or Stott in a spot where you're in the running this year. And while I like Waldrep a lot, he's moved super quick and knowing that he's missed some time with arm trouble already could extend his 'stabilization window' out to beyond 2025. If he was the piece that a trading partner absolutely had to have for a player like Abrams/Scott, I don't think I'd let that hold up a deal. Hope that helps; always a balance. Good luck!

I'm thinking of tapping into the Dodgers incredible pitching depth with Landon Knack. (NL-only, 5x5, keeper league). Miller, Paxton and Buehler have had their ups and downs this season - any chance Knack overtakes one or two of them and becomes a regular in the rotation?

Yes, think that's feasible given the ongoing struggles and/or health questions of those three. Rostered Knack in a few places last night because of this very thing. I'd say go for it.

How far is bo Bichettes value from the following SS - Oneil Cruz, Lindor, Mak Garcia?

This year ... I'll take Lindor and Cruz over Bichette (still like Bo>Maikel -- but also note that M. Garcia not SS elig in most leagues like the rest).

Long-term, I'd rank 'em Cruz, Bo, LIndor <decent gap> Garcia. Think Cruz's HR/SB juice wins out even if the BA doesn't take significant steps forward.

Thanks, all ... got to everyone! Will be back next week, and will double-check on Sunday night to make sure the queue is in fact properly opened. Have a great week!
