I'll go with Sun, Aug 1st. Big weekend series with the Rays at Fenway, Rays struggle vs LHP, and would provide a nice faux post-deadline boost.

Yikes... that last question just gave me the hives. I have both Matz and Heaney in AL-only. So frustrating. Aside from the salary, which might throw them over the CBT, wouldn't Anthony Rizzo look good in a Sox uniform? Mitch Moreland reunion? They have to do something about Dalbec vs. righties, right? Or is that "something" more of Santana/Marwin? What's the definition of insanity again?

I've definitely had the Rizzo-back-to-Boston thought too. First base seems like such an easy place for them to upgrade, it's just a question of who is the right fit/price point. But they need to extend the lineup for sure, and there are plenty of options out there (you would think). I'd sign up for Rizzo, definitely.

Rating -0.44 says no. I like him better than that, but my research on those ratings says don't go against them, especially down in that range.

He's scheduled to start tonight, but hasn't thrown more than 15 pitches/1 IP in an outing since getting activated. If they are planning to stretch him out, it's going to take a while.
