NL only, HOLDS league.  JFoley is / is not a decent gamble to get Holds ROS?

Is not

AL only, obp league.  Do you hear anything regarding Culpepper?  I have him stashed but considering dropping him.   You think he will get a considerable shot ROS?
Brent Hershey

Still not back from the glute injury. Once healthy, don't think it will take long for a promotion. Would likely be MIN SS already if had not run into this injury stretch. I'd hold

NL only, obp.  I see Jose Fermin is on the wire but do not know him.  The numbers seem like he will not hurt me ROS?   Please rank ROS:  JFermin, MShaw, MMclain with any gaps/opinions appreciated.

Shaw / Fermin / McLain. But that is counting on Shaw's injury clearing up soon. Safer to go Fermin, yes ... just not sure he's a long-term answer

Ugh...accidental send of a half-finished question: To resume...

Aaron Nola stands out among available pitchers in my league with a 1.2 rating this week on HQ...against the Dodgers. Since you know the secret sauce and I don't--is there anything to this rating that's relevant to Nola's current reality, or is it just a product of Nola's lost (at least for now) status as a former stud? Perhaps past glories vs. LA? Not seeing much to buttress it in surface stats, or in xERA and BPV...
Brent Hershey

Product of his still-OK K-BB% type skills AND his track record. But this is one rating I'm willing to stray from; he gives up HR like crazy, it's warm in PHI this week; been missing over the plate lately. I'm passing.

In a 7 offensive category roto league rank these 3B. Suarez, Bohm, Karros and Donovan. Thanks

12 team H2H points league heavily weighted to wins. Although losses and ER are negative. Take a chance on Bibbe and Soriano for two starts or roll with Logan Webb and Drohan with one start but really nice marchuos

12 team H2H points league. Is Aaron Nola droppable at this point in the season. Do not see much for him to turn it around
Brent Hershey

Yep a drop in 12s

Sung-Mun Song had an impressive game yesterday.  I've got Yaztrezemski coming back soon and Song is my most likely drop.  It's a NL-only 5x5 league and I need Runs and Rbi.  Which one would you keep?

Do you think pitcher Sean Burke can keep it up? I’m actually considering dropping him at next week and trying to pick up Nick Pivetta early before he’s really in play for everyone else. However, I am generally against dumping a healthy good pitcher for an injured potentially great one. What are your thoughts?
Brent Hershey
1:07
Keep Burke. Not exactly sure long-term, but I'd ride this out

Both Garrett Crochet and Roman Anthony are on the waiver wire in my NFBC league. What are your thoughts on putting in a spec bid right now when I could pick them up in the cheap? Initially, I wasn’t really interested, but in light of the Red Sox recent hot streak it seems like maybe they could be critical pieces eventually down the stretch?
Brent Hershey

Ugh ... probably Crochet (MLB track record) better shot than Anthony? But both are big Qs for me ROS

Speaking of Red Sox players, is Tristan Casas even still alive? Joking, aside, while I realize he probably won’t be a contributor this season, I’m wondering if he’s worth a pick up on the cheap in a dynasty league?
Brent Hershey

Nah, would pass

Cam Smith… do you see him as #1. Improving #2. Stagnant #3. Regressing? Know his young w/ no MILB, but killing my Batting Average. Yet, Astros keep running him out there. Thoughts?
Brent Hershey
1:09
Stagnant. Would want him in a keeper, as ceiling still there, but might not happen until next season.

Hi Brent, need to trade a closer upgrade at SP. Hoped to move Fairbanks, but waited too long and his value is down. How would you prioritize Smith, Baker and Varland for saves ROS? I’ll likely need to package one of them. Thanks!
Brent Hershey
1:10
You're trading away one? Probably Baker, I guess.

Hi Brent, long time reader first time participant.  In a NL only 12 team league,  I have Ely De La Cruz signed to a long term contract and still pretty cheap through 2029. I’ve been offered Andy Pages (near minimum salary) and either Joshua Baez or Aiden Miller for him but I’m saying no at this point.  Should Ely’s leg issues two years in a row make me reconsider?
Brent Hershey
1:11
Nah, I'd hold.

Esmerlyn valdez real or not and what would you project ROS.  His underlying stats seem to project this as real
