Soto more likely than Hernandez. Ohtani stays put. O's get Giolito.

Morning, all! Brent, what are your thoughts on AJ Puk? Can he be an "elite" closer for 2-3 years? He's had some bumps lately ..
Brent Hershey
12:53
Quickly ... yes; has the skills to do that. Sometimes these things take time.

Brent!! Another great Monday!!!

Let's talk about Eovaldi, who has (again) been fading down the stretch (velocity), yet somehow is still netting results. Does this demonstrate that Eovaldi's progressed as a "pitcher"? With the Rangers now resting him, is this the time to target him? Maybe he catches that second wind ...
Brent Hershey
12:54
I'm staying away from Eovaldi, especially if I'm in the hunt this year. Better chances to take than this one to improve my squad.

After the crazy hot streak and crash, it looked like Morel made an adjustment to fix his strikeout issues.  So much for that idea, as now he's soared back to a 40-ish K%. Any reason to think he can figure it out or is he just going to be wildly streaky for the foreseeable future?
Brent Hershey
12:55
Morel, thy name will be Streaky. Just how it's gonna be.

Quick one! Is Bryce Miller ... legit?
Brent Hershey
12:56
Yes over the long haul ... not as convinced ROS.

Time to look to move kutter Crawford? He's been very ordinary lately
Brent Hershey
12:57
I'm holding out; not starting every week but using when it makes sense. Type that COULD bring a decent return, though. I'd explore.

Kiriloff trying to pull us back in by blasting four HR in a week! But before that just 1 apiece in May/June and Statcast metrics look awful. Anything to support this hot streak or are these just "errant gusts of wind" to use a Shandlerism?
Brent Hershey
12:59
As stated above, I'm more optimistic than you and would not characterize Statcast as "awful". I see league-average metrics on that front. Not a superstar right now, but some seeds planted. Health will be paramount, obviously.

Hi! 10-tm H2H category, on the fringe of making playoffs. As couple players come off IL, might need to need to drop two of following — could you rank ROS. Thanks! Freddy Peralta, Eury Perez(stashed on M slot), Bobby Miller, Bryce Miller, Braxton Garrett, Tarik Skubal, Charlie Morton, Kyle Bradish, Tanner Bibee, Kenta Maeda, Cristian Javier, Kyle Wright(on IL 'til Sep)
Brent Hershey

Too long to rank, but I'd be considering drops in your format for Garrett, Peralta, Wright, Bryce Miller (assuming ROS only)

Hi Brent! As always - thanks for these chats.
IF Hader gets traded, is Nick Martinez the closer?
The Cubs are only 3 back. A good week and they might become buyers - is it a foregone conclusion that they trade Bellinger or could you see them giving him an extension?
Sal Frelick - up for good? What are your thoughts there?
Brent Hershey

Beano!
-Suarez > Martinez for me
-not forgone that they trade; doubt they give him extension in-season
-yes; think they are auditioning him alongside T Taylor, Weimer, Perkins to find best 2 to go w/ Yelich

NL 5x5. I was pleased to get Peguero for a minimum FAAB last week. Horrified that he made almost no contact in his first week. Is he rosterable over Chris Taylor?
Brent Hershey
1:03
Would probably prefer Taylor at this point unless this is next year only

Is Bo Bichette a sell high in roto redrafts? That is, if you can get a 1-2 round value in return?
Brent Hershey
1:04
Yes, might consider that

Owners get the ROS stats for any players traded to the NL in our league. The only trade-bait I've got is Evan Carter, so I'm not too worried as everything I read points to Texas trading with Chicago or Cleveland for pitching. So, what I'd like to know is who you think might be coming over to the AL by the end of the week?
Brent Hershey
1:04
No idea. Always surprises. Sit back and enjoy!! :-)

Please rank AL only ROS - Stanton, Julks, Ward, Josh Bell
