Sorry for the late start here; you came with the Qs so let's get to em!

Hi Brent, quick question. Would you pick up Gage Jump for Mike Burrows? AL only. I have McClanahan, Jax, Kirby, Burrows, Melton, Valdez, Cade Smith, Grant Taylor and Louis Varland. W, WHIP, ERA, K and H/S. Thank you!! I think I need to keep my relievers. I am in 1st place in holds/saves.
Brent Hershey
12:07
I would rather hold Burrows, even with the ugly numbers so far - I just believe in the track record (though shorter) right now. Just the way I would play it, esp in an AL-only. Can make the Gage argument, though.

Hi Brent- thanks again for these chats!  In a H2H points league, can you rank Paredes, Schmitt, and Bazzana ROS?  Thanks!
Brent Hershey

Schmitt, Bazzana, Paredes

When will Charlie Condon be called up? The Rockies' OF is not very good, and they have been giving Condon OF time in the AAA..
Brent Hershey
12:11
Would have to think it's coming at some point this year. Triple-A PCL is a tough league to judge numbers off of, but does look like some steps forward in contact rate, etc.

Crystal ball time; Langford (hopefully coming off IL this weekend). 4x4 -  needs SB & Avg. Need to cut One of: Crews, Lile, Cam Smith, Bleday,, or..either Burger or E. Suarez. Leaning Crews but also considering Lile or Cam Smith. However Smith is now past week getting a hit per b game etc. like has been streaky all tear and Crews is wild card. Key decision.. thanks
Brent Hershey

Given a SB/BA need, I might drop one of the corner guys, who are both BA-challenged HR dudes. Feel like the other OF you are considering are all athletic enough to give you at least a few bags, and all have starting jobs right now, and a couple with BA upside (Cam and Crews specifically). Unless some other crazy circumstance, I'd move on from Suarez, probably?

Hi Brent! Happy Monday. NL 10 team 5x5. I am dancing between the top 4 spots so far and we have some interesting waiver wire guys to pick from. Hitters: Yaz, Jonah Cox (who I think I could get for $1 and stash him when he gets sent back down- sneaky, eh?), Jared Young (who might cost too much cuz I'm in a NYC league, YAZ, Valazquez, T France, D Gilbert
OR I could wait for the Mets to activate Polanco.

less interesting Pitchers: Liberatore, Crow, Feltner (!), Manaea, A Alvarez, Jack Dreyer

Your sage advice is sought!
Brent Hershey
12:18
Hey Beano! Yaz, especially this week with some RHP lined up, would be my first choice as a hitter; then probably France. Though Liberatore's recent skills gains look really good; surface #s haven't caught up. He might be the best overall free agent avail, with Yaz and then France. Not interested in the rest of the pitchers, really. Good luck!

Joc / Melton / Torres / Mayer / Sandlin, and Anderson on the rooks.

10 team categories league 27 man rosters. Who wins this trade - A) Kyle Tucker/Gunnar or B) Yordan/Bichette/Kirby/Langford. I own side A (along with rooker, jazz, and riley.. its been miserable)
Brent Hershey
12:22
I'd want the Yordan side; best overall player out of em all when healthy. And the other three shots are VG ones; Tucker/Gunnar are #2/#3 overall in this group, but you probably need too many of your current guys (sorry to hear this) to turn it around fully to get back in it. Getting back Yordan COULD help jump-start things.

Whats up w Seiya Suzuki skills?
Brent Hershey
12:25
Nothing really alarming. Exit velo is down a smidge, and a few other things also — but not outside normal variance. He should be fine.

Austin Riley contact issues are starting to make this campaign look ugly, and reason to be hopeful?
Brent Hershey
12:28
In contrast with Seyia, here's a guy with some troubling multi-year trends. I know he's been less than fully healthy, but other than the track record from what seems like many years ago, there's not a lot to hang your hat on right now.

Can Delauter turn those skills into more production?
Brent Hershey
12:30
I'd be pretty satisfied with his line so far as a rookie. Great foundation, has stayed healthy. Be careful of expecting too much too soon.

10 Team, AL only, 4x4 league.  Need help with pitching. Is JT Ginn worth a flier?  The HQ custom ratings think not but his stats look pretty good the last few weeks.  What are your thoughts?
Brent Hershey
12:32
In an AL-only, yes, Ginn should be rostered. Be ready for a WHIP roller coaster (and that's often a ratings sore spot) but shown some interesting skills at various times over the past few years.

Good morning!  You're projecting Kody Clemens from MN to receive 30% PT, but he has played 19 of the last 20 games.  Do you think your PT% projection is accurate going forward?  What is going to change to stop him from PT?
Brent Hershey
12:37
Those are always being adjusted, and perhaps that deserves another look. This latest stretch has included a pretty good deal of uncertainty with a Buxton injury and the demotions of Wallner and Lewis. We figured those AB would go to younger players instead of Clemens. Also his recent stretch of playing against the last 4 LHP was a surprise, as he was a heavy platoon guy before that. But, he has played a ton recently. We'll look at it; thanks.

Brent, I utilized Babs in my auction this year. No complaints. I was wondering however if Babs gets updated during the season? Past injuries of course are history, but 35% of season gone does infer result changes for some players. Yes - No?
Brent Hershey
12:40
Right now, BABS is only a pre-season drafting tool best used with an entire season of data. Our projections and other analysis is best at adjusting to in-season changes.

Start/Bench/Cut in a 12 team roto - Gelof/DCrews/Cam Smith
Brent Hershey
12:41
Start Gelof for sure ... the other two are close, but would probably jettison Smith in this case.

12 team mixed roto OBP league. I’ve been offered Witt for Skenes. I think my pitching is strong enough and lacking power and RBI’s. Thoughts?
Brent Hershey
12:41
Yeah, can see that esp if your pitching can absorb it.

Welcome to June where things get real and numbers matter. Have to start 3 of these 6 pitchers this week and welcome your wise counsel: Ray, Keller, Prielipp (2 starts), Castillo (his battery mate has strong rating), Miles, Zebby. Thanks! Bonus: which 2 of 3 catchers again this period only: Wells, J. Rodriguez, Ruiz. Thanks!
Brent Hershey
12:44
Zebby and either Castillo or Miles

Wells and Ruiz

Keeper league, NL-only, 5x5.  I haven't got anything better, but I'm beginning to wonder whether Kevan Alcantara will be worth hanging on to.
Brent Hershey
12:45
Skilled player with some prospect pedigree ... so yes, can see rostering him with one eye on his PT and the other on the waiver wire. Would seem like his roster spot in jeopardy once Shaw returns, though.
Raider 34

Have to start 1 of 2 Miles for Detroit  , Rogers for Baltimore,
Brent Hershey

Hope that Rogers has found it; try him.

Am I a worthy stash in a 15-team league to replace Jeffers?  Or should my owner bet on Susac?
Brent Hershey
12:47
Worth a stash, yes. More impact potential even though Jeffers is having a great season.

Are there ever times when you have a solid impression on a future fantasy stud that you want to keep to yourself so you can add to your personal roto teams before making the public aware?  I would be concerned that making that future stud known might allow my competition in certain leagues to obtain that player before I had a chance to adjust my roster and obtain same player... How do you balance?
