Still underrated b/c of cruddy history (injuries, performance) and first two starts that "confirmed" he was toast. Been VG since. May was probably over his head, but if I have him rostered I'm riding this out for now. If he's available in your FA pool, he likely won't cost much to acquire.

Most projection sites seem very cautious about Baty's playing time RoS. Aprrox. 200 ABs. I know McNeil has been activated and probably the better defender. Will he steal Baty's ABs, or can the Mets find playing time for Baty at 3B? or DH?
Brent Hershey
12:44
Yes, and we might be one of those sites, too. Really depends on his bat -- if he keeps hitting, the Mets will find PT. Does just look much better since this last recall -- which is in the realm of plausible outcomes, given his prospect pedigree.

Am I still SP2-SP3 material in shallow rotisserie league?
Brent Hershey
12:45
Shallow league? That means reliable SP to me. I don't count Pfaadt in that class just yet.

Hey Brent! How soon before First Pitch Arizona info will be available?
Brent Hershey
12:46
Later this month! Dates are set - Nov 6-9, will be our 30th Year. Hope you're able to help us celebrate!

Happy Monday!  Does Yarbrough stick in Yankees' rotation ROS? Is he a screaming buy? His HQ projections don't think so.
Brent Hershey
12:47
A guy you buy right now and use until they upgrade or he hits a wall. Good current situation, but not sure he's one of their SP come September.

Thanks for these chats, Brent.  In 12-team redraft (scoring IP and QS as well as normal stats), is the rank as follows for ROS: Lodolo, Rasmussen, Pepiot > Liberatore?  Or are they all fungible? And bonus, you big a believer are you in PCA hitting his new "UP"?
Brent Hershey
12:49
I'd have Lodolo <gap>, then the trio more or less the same. Still find myself shaking my head at Liberatore's gains, but they appear real. And yes, PCA could get there. The talent + "IT" quality is big.

Debating whether Perdomo, who has been great all year but slowed down over the past couple weeks, is a must-hold as a bench bat / UTIL-type. Do you think we've seen his best this season? Would drop to grab what I consider higher-upside bench bats like Barger or X. Edwards; alternative drop candidates would be O'Hearn or C. Walker. (5x5 OBP, daily moves)
Brent Hershey
12:51
Perdomo not a must-hold with those other options. Do think some of his changes are real, and current snag is just an adjustment. But like all of those other players you list better.
Porcho Villa
12:51
Please pick any three for best ROS value: Reese Olson, Warren, M. Meyer, Eury Perez, McCullers (5x5 QS)
Brent Hershey
12:51
Olson, Perez, Warren (though McC is tempting)

Do you think Sasaki is still worth holding on to? 15 team mixed points keeper league (but only 5 keepers). He has shown little and his injury status and history are so unclear.
Brent Hershey
12:52
Yeah, probably can find better use of that roster spot. Crazy, given the offseason hype.
Rick
12:53
15-team mixed.  Endy Rodriguez has been on my IR, but he has only played in one of the four games since he came back.  Is that a sign he won't displace Davis and I should cut him, or just a sign to exercise patience?  Thanks!
Brent Hershey
12:53
Yeah, if PIT thought he was a big part of their short-term future, gotta think they'd mix him in more. Prob can move on for now.
Mark
12:54
In a 15-team NL-AL points league that counts holds, how would you rank the following ROS to bolster my bullpen: J. Estrada, R Rodriguez, B Little, Uribe, Santillan? Thanks.
Brent Hershey
12:54
Estrada, Uribe, R-Rod, Little, Santillan

If you were looking to 2026, which of the following would you choose to roster and hold today for value next year?  S.Whitcomb, C.Young, C.Thomas, R.Stevenson, A.Osuna, I.Seymour.  AL-only keeper 5X5
Brent Hershey
12:56
Not sure if you just want one or any, but Young is clear #1 in this group (could see him winning 2B job by next season). MIGHT consider Whitcomb, but still lots has to happen there role-wise in HOU. The rest are too fuzzy at the moment.

NL only.  Should I bid on BElder and drop ERod?  Which one is better ROS?  Or should I ask:  will they both hurt me more than help?
Brent Hershey
12:57
Yeah, just don't like what I've seen from ERod, so yes, would prob prefer Elder. Still risky in NL-only, though.
Leon
12:58
Do you expect A. Seigler (MIL) to get a chance at >50% PT in the 2nd half? At what position?  Deep 5x5 NL-only keeper league.
Brent Hershey
12:58
Don't see that happening this season.
Wade Garrett

Good morning Brent! Thank you for taking the time today.

12 team H2H points redraft points league. Who do you like for this week and ROS at 2B

Cronenworth, Durbin, Caballero, or Keith?
Brent Hershey
12:59
Keith this week ... and probably Keith ROS, though Caballero continues to surprise me with his PT
Tundra
12:59
For a 5x5, keep Arenado or go for R. Lewis, M. Vargas or Barger?
Brent Hershey
12:59
Would def prefer Barger and Vargas to Arenado

Hey Brent, thanks for doing this chat. 12 team Dynasty league, H2H 6x6 scoring. Is it time to quit Anthony Santander? Have T. Hernandez, Carpenter, Beck and Wallner  as active OF with R. Anthony in the wings.
Brent Hershey
1:00
Seems like tough release, if that's what the move is. But yes, agree your OF options are all better at this point.

Ronny Henriquez a viable closing option over the next week or so? Saves only league
Brent Hershey

Other than the one-off, I've not seen indication of this. Watching it, but usage doesn't act like he's the long-term solution right now.

Saw Tajun Walker of Phillies in a limited relief appearance earlier in year   Strikeout the side. I see  possible  overuse of Romano. Can Walker actually step in and close with one inning limits? Crystal ball it for me.
Brent Hershey
1:02
Highly doubt he gets more than a token save or to ROS. Think their best-case for him is 7th/8th inning guy

I've lost two SPs to injury in my NL-only 5x5 league and the free agent pool is dismal.  The best (?) available SPs are Quinn Priester, Chad Patrick and Miles Mikolas.  Aaron Ashby is also available but it looks like he'll be in the pen.  Are any of them roster-worthy?  Thanks.
Brent Hershey
1:03
NL only, Patrick then Priester are possibilities.

Thanks for the chat, Brett. 12-team NL-only, dynasty. Four speculative FAAB targets today -- Brad Keller, Cristian Mena, Bradgley Rodriguez, and DL Hall. Please rank for vulture wins in 2025 and potential value in 2026.
