1) More than I thought; figured his all-fields approach would keep him from long slumps (BUZZ)
2) Stud might be overstating it, but will he be productive for a long time? Yes ...love the improving ct%
Thanks for the kind words!

I just picked up way too many shares of Bailey Ober. How disappointing is that going to turn out to be?
Brent Hershey

Medium disappointing. Rookie pitchers, man.

Thoughts on Wilmer Flores ROS in a deep 5x5 10-teamer (OBP instead of BA)? Need a Bregman replacement. Other options are Berti and Arraez.
Brent Hershey

Prefer Flores to those two, esp in OBP. Kapler pulling all the right strings in SF so far.

better keeper moving forward: Ian Anderson or Dylan Cease?
Brent Hershey
1:14
Anderson, just from a safety standpoint. Cease probably the bigger upside, but we've seen the risk there.

Hi Brent.  Ian Happ, Jorge Soler, Alec Bohm, Nick Solak, and Andrew Vaughn were all dropped in my 12-team mixed OBP league.  Which one(s) do you think are most likely to right the ship, and would you drop Josh Rojas for any of them right now?  Thanks!
Brent Hershey

Was going to say Vaughn since OBP ... but hadn't realized his walk rate has gone down each of the past 2 months. That's worrisome given "patience" is his calling card. Otherwise, probably Soler is the closest, and that's just via betting on a HR correction. But ultimately, in a 12er, think I'd sit tight w/ Rojas for now.

NL only, 11 team 5 by 5.  Have an opportunity to upgrade Nola or Castillo for Degrom.  Assuming Degrom pitches well tonight with no health issue, would you do?  And if so, do you like Nola or Castillo for rest of year?
Brent Hershey
1:19
Yes, I think you take that shot if he doesn't come out of the game. Slight preference for Nola over Castillo the rest of the year ... but convincing argument could be made the other way as well. Tough call.

In Boston in 2007, we had "plane watch" as John Henry brought Daisuke Matsuzaka to Boston on his private jet. (Little did we know how anticlimactic that would be.) In 2021, we have a reverse "plane watch" with Duran: Does Jarren Duran get on the Team USA charter to the Tokyo Olympics? If so, he is out of the loop for a call-up until August.
Brent Hershey
1:20
Yeah, I'd say he probably heads to Olympics ... but August is still the second half, right? :-)

With Carson Kelly out probably ROS, which catcher: Willson, Gomes, Alfaro? Currently 1st in R, HR, RBI, but don't want to kill my OBP. Thanks Brent!
Brent Hershey
1:21
Willson, easily. Realize he's currently slumping badly, but best overall track record

I am in last place in a 20 team 5x5 league. I am thinking of trading Mookie Betts to a contender to start my rebuild. What can I expect to get in return? Prospect? SP/OF combo?
Brent Hershey
1:23
The highest-upside guy you can get, even if it's just 1:1. <Whispers: hanging on to Betts (28 y/o) is prob the best way to start a rebuild>

Hey pal - think Patino or Baz helps a team contending for a roto title this season?
Brent Hershey
1:24
Yes. More likely Patino, but could even be both. Rays, bud.
