Perfect guys for a SOLDs league - locked into late innings (doesn't matter which); good team with W opps, too; decent enough skills.

Hey Brent…..can you rate these middle infielders ROS……COLLINS,TAWA,TYLER FREEMAN,LUX,

Freeman, Lux, Collins, Tawa

Interesting read about hitting variances between stretch and windup. Why don’t MLB pitchers adopt to get a degree of advantage? I would pitch Soto out of stretch and vary hold counts all day.
Brent Hershey
12:46
Fair point ... just guessing that pitchers that do both feel much more comfortable with their pitches from the windup, and that difference outweighs possible timing wins from going stretch-only. Again, just my conjecture.

Should we begin moving on from Correa in 12 team OBP leagues? Thinking of picking up someone who can give me SB's instead.
Brent Hershey
12:46
Valid consideration in a 12 for sure. Roster construction a big part of things.

Thanks for the chat, Brent. Any ROS preference between Harris, Josh Lowe, Adell, Cam Smith, and Meadows? 12 team mixed
Brent Hershey
12:48
Cam Smith, then Lowe or Adell pop out for me. Could see a world where Smith takes off in 2H.

Hi Brent - I have J Rod on a 12 team points league.  Kinda meh so far.  I really need the HR in that league.  Is the homepark working against him?  What does the xPX tell you about the future for him?
Brent Hershey
12:51
xPX trend is not good for sure. Making better contact, but QBaB slippage stands out, too. Can't cut or anything (too young/talented, so could turn it around), but right now can't count on the HR you thought you'd get on Draft Day. Hurting a few of my teams as well.

Welcome back Brent - really promising PQS log for Brandon Walter despite results vs LAA.  Lacking Ks but seems to be some hope underneath. 12 team roto.  What are your thoughts?
Brent Hershey
12:52
Yep, super interesting under the hood. The type of info that can be actionable. I'm interested even in 12s and added him a couple places already.

Rank the following rest of season - Christian Walker, Rhys Hoskins, and Ty France.
Brent Hershey
12:53
Walker for sure; maybe France over Hoskins but you might have them in the right order.

Is Chase Burns worth chasing based on 2025 value? Who do you prefer between him, Jose Soriano, Roupp, Abel, and Ben Brown? (5x5 QS)
Brent Hershey
12:54
Brown first, then probably Burns though Soriano is close. Roupp, Abel a notch behind.

4x4, al-only with ks instead of WHIP. Two questions: any idea why are Lucas Erceg's ks down this year?  Also, how do you rank the following three pitchers ROS: Erceg, Jax, Sawyer Gipson-Long.  Thanks, and thanks for doing these Q&As!
Brent Hershey
12:56
1) No idea; disappointing on Erceg
2) SGL, Jax, Erceg

Hi Brent. In a 12-team mixed 5X5 H2H league, would you prefer Shane Baz or Chase Burns ROS? The rest of my rotation is pretty stacked (Webb, Valdez, H. Brown, Rodon, Gore, Rasmussen, Luzardo, Flaherty), so it's tempting to take a gamble on Burns, whose range of potential outcomes seems pretty wide.
Brent Hershey
12:57
Can see going big on Burns here for the knockout punch potential.

AL only:  Drop Zebby Matthews for KHarrison?
Brent Hershey
12:58
Would probably like to see Harrison back up to the bigs first, but tentatively yes.

Hi, Brent. NL-only, 12-team, dynasty. Is Trevor Megill a decent trade target with MILW trending up a bit? Or is the presence of 25-year-old Uribe cause for concern, especially for 2026? Megill is inexpensive and will not cost too much to acquire, but I do not want to misfire. Chance to pick up 4-5 points in saves this year, sitting in 4th currently.
Brent Hershey

In this case (your needs; acquisition cost), I'd go for it. If he is indeed inexpensive, I'd not be worrying about a misfire. He goes belly-up, you move on, esp if you have 4-5 overall points at stake.

Which one of these would you play in NL-only this week? The rest would move to my bench. Joey Ortiz, K'B Hayes or Croneworth?
Brent Hershey
1:01
Ortiz; he's come around a bit and MIL has 2d-best hitting schedule for the week per our numbers.

8 team NL-Only keeper/dynasty league. OBP/Net SB/TB/RBI/R. Joey Bart and Henry Davis both available with faab bid becoming the contract value. Looking for a replacement for Moreno. I know playing time is king but what is your preference between the two? Thanks!
Brent Hershey
1:02
Bart slightly; though dynasty aspect makes Davis a bit more attractive then usual. Still Bart, though.

Hi Brent,
Trying to decide on my rotation for this week in my NL-only, 10 team Scoresheet league.  Here are my options:
C Sanchez
Boyd
Birdsong
Casparius
Imanaga
Mikolas
Elder

Which five do you recommend?  The matchup tool does not  have Imanaga listed.

As always, I appreciate your advice
Brent Hershey
1:03
The top 5 listed.

Which C would you prefer ROS: Wm. Contreras, Realmuto, O'Hoppe, Kirk, or Jeffers? (OBP league)
Brent Hershey
1:03
Kirk slightly over O'Hoppe, whose HR advantage might be worth the OBP hit.

Does it make sense to use win as a proxy for QS on the daily matchups tool if my league doesn't use wins? Or should I just ignore it?
Brent Hershey
1:05
I'd think focusing in on recent PQS scores (skills based) would be better than the W rating (which factors in opponent and opposing SP).

Is Barger a viable 12 team mixed OF ROS? Seems like he’s outperforming projections quite a bit. Thanks!
Brent Hershey

For sure. We'll be adjusting his BHQ projection (more favorably) this week, in fact.
