No KNOWN issues with the wrist ... but most of his Statcast batted ball metrics are down from even last year. But some of our BHQ indicators (xBA; expected power) point to improvement coming. Another frustrating guy.
doctor horrible

Bonus Question: does Ozuna keep this up?
Brent Hershey

Love your chats.  Thank you.   Some quick fire ROS, 12-team, AL-Only, 4x4 Roto:
  • Rank 'em: C. Esteves, Sewald, Fairbanks, Adam
  • B. Rooker or C. Julks?
  • J. Burger or N. Lowe?
  • R. Lewis or J. Westburg?
  • C. Bethancourt or M. Garver?
Brent Hershey
12:55
  • Agree with this order
  • Julks; afraid Rooker's flash in the pan is over
  • Lowe, although Burger's upside higher
  • Lewis; has done it in MLB
  • Bethancourt

Hiya, Brent!! Happy to see you in for another Monday of fun.

I have Christian Javier as my staff ace this year but I'm worried about him. Should I sell now before the bottom falls out or hope he puts together a strong 2nd half?

Dynasty league, so balancing the short and long term is always a challenge.

Thanx!!
Brent Hershey

Hold; think he's just a tweak away and great team context

Wander keeps running but things keep popping up (random injuries, behavioral issues), is he a sell high if you can net an established top 20 bat?

Musgrove pitching well despite dealing with the elbow issue. He a ticking time bomb or can he still be effective ROS?
Brent Hershey
12:58
Can be effective ... though risk has gone up for sure. Wouldn't be opposed to shopping to see what market bears

Hi Brent, My question is about Paul Skenes.  I've heard he's pro-ready, and the "next Strasburg".  The MLB draft is around the corner, and once drafted in real life, is he a waiver claim in a 10 team league?   Or more generally for other readers, how aggressively would you go after him?  Thank you,
Brent Hershey
1:00
Maybe, if you're in a 10-team keeper with a large bench. Don't think he makes a dent in any 2023 redraft lg.

Hi Brent, in an 18-team mixed 5x5, I need to move Fairbanks or Adam for power.  I am middle of the pack with saves and have Sewald and Alvarado (bench) as well.  We have small bench so I cannot collect relievers to speculate on.  Which TAM guy would you trade?
Brent Hershey
1:01
Think I'd move Fairbanks (due to health risk)

Deep/14-team OBP league. I have room for an extra free agent bat. Please rank these 3 from my waiver wire: Siri / McCormick / Moniak / Seth Brown.  I'll be re-assessing at the all star break, so really just looking for the next 2 weeks. Thanks!
Brent Hershey

That order; Siri the clear leader

NL-only keeper league: I didn't keep Jordan Walker and Elly thinking they wouldn't be up this season. Ugh. So...raising the white flag. I've never tried rebuilding, always drafting to be competitive every season. That hasn't really worked out this year. I have James Wood on my roster but missed out on Chourio. Any other guys to keep an eye on that could be solid keepers for the next two seasons? Thanks as always!

Speed round:  (1) What is your outlook for Suwinski ROS, Brent? HQ says 15 HR, 38 RBI, 218 BA.  (2) Who is your favorite sleeper power bat?
Brent Hershey

(1) PT important here; if he loses some obv that proj will go down; (2) Ryan O'Hearn

Hi! 10-tm H2H category. SPs drafted that thought we’re going to be strength have been huge disappointment (Nola, Peralta, Morton, Senga). Please rank (and comment if possible) order of keeping, or grabbing: Bibee, B Garrett, Ober, Morton, Senga, Germain! Thanks!
