The historical values listed on Playerlink for 5x5 leagues are significantly different than those listed on Baseball Forecaster. Why is that?
I was under the impression that both are based on 12-team 5x5 values in -only leagues. On BF’s page 82, it implies that, by mentioning that “projections are roughly based on a 12-team AL/NL league ....” with appropriate caveats.  
For example, Kyle Gibson’s historical $s for 2023 are $4 in BF and $0 in Playerlink . For 2022, they are -$4 in BF and -$16 in Playerlink.
Note that the historical numbers in the CDG for 12-team 5x5 values in -only leagues are roughly equal to those on BF.
Am I missing something?

Complicated answer, but in simple terms, BF values use a different "universe" and are more geared towards pre-season comparisons. Once we hit in-season, should be using site numbers.

Hi Brent!  Thanks for trying to help!  12 team 4x4 NL only and I'm being crushed in WHIP and ERA.  Just lost Musgrove for who knows how long.  Peterson (NY) and Irvin (WAS) are available.  I also have Montas (CIN) whom I've been close to dropping but need the IP.  Which two of the three for the near term and ROS?

NL 10 team 5x5. I want to activate PCA (tho I can wait a few weeks). To do so, I have to trade or waive $1 B Perkins or $10 M Tauchman. Which should go or do I wait on PCA?

I also have an opening for a pitcher: Schwellenbach, Strahm, R Walker, S Howard, Cecconi, J Beeks or Danny Young? (I need a bit of everything!)

update!: I just got an offer of Suwinski (who is in the minors) for my B Perkins - creating a spot on my active roster for PCA and giving me rights to Suwinski who may well return and hit HRs - thoughts? (NL 10 team 5x5)

Thanks for the chat Brent! 16 tm dynast holds ops extra categories...Just had Tork sent down but i'll need to continue to roster so some tough roster decisions elsewhere to keep my roster flexible. If cutting a SP how would you rank ROS Civale, Canning, and Montas. I might be able to cut bait on one of those three. Montas upcoming schedule not looking very promising that's for sure.

And one more Brent, if possible; same 16 team league 6x6 weekly h2h categories ONE Catcher league- Have Salvy as my starter but i've been holding Naylor all year just hoping he could be my succession plan eventually (no minors elig in this league for him). I'm currently in second place and if needed would you be ok with a Naylor cut? WW has Wong, Fermin, those types if I needed to dip into it. Thanks again

In your case, think I'd hold Naylor, as long as you had room. Has had some trouble adjusting to first exposure to levels in the past. Good luck!
