Glorious Monday, everyone!

Brent, what are your initial thoughts on Michael Harris? How high is his ceiling? I've been SO impressed thus far!

Go, Braves!

Held his own; a skill set to track. Think the fact that the Braves brought him up from AA and playing him every day speaks volumes.

Morning Brent. I'm in AL-only 5x5 and have a SS hole (drafted Mondesi). A.Velazquez is my current SS, but he continues to struggle hitting. I don't have good free agent choices -- Mendick, Arroyo, N.Lopez, Richie Martin, Kevin Smith (also not hitting). Would you replace Velazquez with any of these subs, or hold tight and hope for more SB from AV?
Brent Hershey
12:56
I'd probably hold in AL-only; continue to look for an upgrade.

Any positive underlying skills for Verdugo? Hitting in a great spot in a good lineup so keep waiting for a turnaround. Stay patient or look elsewhere? Thanks.
Brent Hershey
12:57
Patience. Give lots of leeway w/ that surrounding lineup.

Hello Bret. Jack Flaherty is available in my 12 team mixed HTH points league. His rehab appears to be going well and I can pick him up and stash on IL. Question is when activated can he be better ROS as a streamer than Ashby or K. Wright?
Brent Hershey
12:57
Not better than Wright, no. Possibly prefer to Ashby, though I'm not as high on Flaherty as some.

What do you think of Rendon's ROS outlook is?  Saw some stats regarding him vs Fastballs now vs when he was an elite option and they were pretty eye opening.  Obviously not looking for him to be that elite version again, but will he separate himself from the 3B pack into the upper tier, or is he just a guy moving forward?
Brent Hershey
12:58
Think he's better than average 3B; not elite as you say. Health cooperating, of course (not a given past few yrs)

Lots of ups and downs for Cookie Carrasco this year.  At times he looks like an absolute must start, sometimes not so much.  Is this his new normal as someone we need to monitor  matchup to matchup, or is he an adjustment away from being must start across the board?
Brent Hershey
12:58
Matchup play for me

How safe do you think Kimbrels closer job is moving forward after his latest meltdown?  Stuff is still there and doesnt look that bad under the hood.
Brent Hershey
12:59
Think he's probably fine for now, though he's not the lockdown guy he once was. Meaning, continue to monitor

Morning and welcome to 'Monday the 13th!' 12 team 5x5: How do you see these options for this week and beyond: C. Javier, S. Strider, R, Stripling? Would you drop D. Williams (I have Hader) for any of these? (Btw, am #1 in sv's but need w' & k's) THANKS!
Brent Hershey
1:00
Prefer Strider to Williams, possibly Javier (esp w/ win potential)

Were you an Erod believer this preseason?  Early results were awful, but apparently he looked amazing in his latest rehab.  Stuff has always been there, is this news or noise?
Brent Hershey
1:01
Lukewarm in the preseason; he'll need to prove it to me against MLB batters

How do you see Yepez' role evolving in St. Louis? Is he worth a roster spot on a contending team?
Brent Hershey
1:02
Tough one; could depend on how likely you think Carlson and O'Neill get going again. I tend to believe in those two right now, which squeezes Yepez some.

Hi Brent. Joey Gallo was cut in my 12-team mixed 5X5 league with OBP instead of AVG and daily roster moves.  Worth a pickup?  He's been awful this year, and his OBP, PX, and xPX are well below his typical levels, but he seems to be heating up over the last week or so, and he's always been streaky.  My outfield is crowded (Yordan, Soto, Julio Rodriguez, Ward, and Pederson), so I'd probably only play him when Pederson faced a lefty or someone had the day off.
Brent Hershey

Not sure I'd roster him in a 12-tm mixed, esp with that OF.

There up and coming SS, Anthony Volpe, Gunnar Henderson, or Ezequiel Tovar. Do you have a preference here?
Brent Hershey
1:05
The first two in a diff league that Tovar for me. Henderson slightly over Volpe (though he's played much better recently and was far and away the better prospect pre-season). Henderson will have a spot in BAL once he's ready; Volpe will have to navigate that NYY roster

What do you expect for Tylor Megill ROS?
Brent Hershey
1:05
Inconsistency and injury risk until he proves otherwise.

Toss up for ROS: K. Hayes or Espinal?
Brent Hershey

Hayes

NL-only 5x5 keeper league. Would you rather have Tovar at $10 (he'd be 2d year next season) or Khalil Watson $5 (keep in minors forever until he gets promoted)?
Brent Hershey

Watson

Is there hope for a Whit Merrifield? What’s holding back his SB’s
Brent Hershey

Yes, track record says he's much better.
Age? It gets us all

Trying to find a way to grab either Pham or J. Rojas (12 team OBP). Disregarding position, which slow starter would you move on from first: Grandal or Ozuna?
Brent Hershey
1:08
In an OBP league, probably Ozuna ... though not sure I'd want Pham instead. Rojas, yes

Hi Brent, do you see B. Drury’s current performance as sustainable? IMO, seems possible, but tough to know with a guy who hasn’t consistently displayed this level of production. Am considering trading for him. League has 16 teams with 32-man rosters (with keepers) and is H2H categories.
Brent Hershey
1:09
Short-term ... like this year ... yes, I think he can sustain. Not someone I would count on as a keeper piece beyond.

10-tm Roto category w Lynn coming off IL, need to drop one of Morel (will immediately be grabbed), Muncy or Swanson (also been great pick up). Positions not a consideration and not desperate for SBs. With our waiver wire picked clean of quality SPs, would also hate to drop a high-ceiling young arm Skubal, Ashby, Megill, Sandoval or R Contreras. Value all and afraid of drop that will regret ROS. HELP!
Brent Hershey
1:11
Assuming redraft league, I'd either drop 1) Muncy or 2) Ashby for Lynn.
Catcher Hungry
1:11
NL-only 5x5. Don't need HR, have a surplus. I need a catcher for a month or so, here are the choices: Gomes, Heineman, Caratini, M. Perez, Higgins, R. Adams, Wynns, Aramis Garcia, Knizer, etc.  Who would be your top 2 or 3 choices?  Or am I better off with nobody racking up stats for a month because these guys will hurt my BA?
Brent Hershey
1:11
Gomes or Caratini won't hurt
