Thanks! My inclination would be yes, though in a perfect world I'd want to know what your Mountcastle replacement options were. But Cole still best player in the deal, etc.

12:49
Do you like any of the following as an NL-only stash? Tucker Davidson, Corbin Martin, Bailey Falter.
Brent Hershey
12:49
Yeah, still have a soft spot for Martin; has some tools that ARI pitching coach B Strom can work with. And there's some back-of-rotation potential with Falter as well. Prefer both over Davidson, especially as a deep NL lg stash.
Buff
12:50
NL only, David Peralta or Rafael Ortega ROS?
Brent Hershey
12:50
Peralta for me ... though a higher likelihood he's not on ARI come Aug 3.

Please rank these hitters in a 6x6 roto (5x5 + OPS): K Bryant, Abreu, Votto, Hoskins, Teoscar, Stanton. Thank you!
Brent Hershey
12:52
Stanton, Bryant, Abreu, Teoscar, Votto, Hoskins

How do the Sox send Jarren Duran back down after the couple weeks he's had here? Is Kike really a better leadoff guy?
Brent Hershey
12:53
Not yet convinced that they do; and no, Kiké is not a better leadoff guy. Could well depend on how it's going once KH is ready. But past couple weeks sure has looked like JD belongs.
Steve
12:55
Are you a believer in Tanner Rainey? Three saves this past week. Can he hold the job all year?
Brent Hershey
12:55
Yes, I "believe" that he's the guy in WAS and could hold the job all year. But skills and opportunity wise, more of a third-tier guy IMO; if I have two other for-sure closers, might be some weeks where Rainey ends up on the bench in 15-tm mixers.

12:56
How good can Michael Harris be this season? Was he supposed to be this electric?
Brent Hershey
12:56
It's something ... saw him last year in A-ball and could see the tools, but wasn't sure he was going to be able to make enough contact; swung at everything. Has cleaned up that part of the game and -- bang -- here we are. So, yes, was electric, but it happening this soon was a surprise. Fun player.
Ramon Laureano
12:58
Am I going to be traded? If so, how good could I be in 5x5, batting at the top of a strong lineup?
Brent Hershey
12:58
Yes; though I'm not sure a trading team (likely a contender) will automatically put you there. Not sure a trade changes your ROS projection all that much, outside of going to a crazy hitters' park.

Grabbed Winker as a hitting streamer given his hot streak and nice schedule this week (vs. BAL and OAK, 6/7 RHP). Understanding that Safeco is no GABP, any signs of hope in his recent stretch that he can recapture some of last year's all-star form ROS?
Brent Hershey
1:02
Think it's possible. The cloud over it, though, is if a short suspension given the on-the-field hijinks from yesterday enters in. Not saying it's 100% (might be staggered; appealed, etc), but that COULD come at a bad time, when it seemed like he was just getting heated up (with the bat, of course).

Think Jhoan Duran will finally get a shot to run with the MIN closer gig? Finally got a save yesterday but it was his first in over a month.
Brent Hershey
1:02
This is likely how it will work with MIN. Would not at all count on them employing him as a traditional closer.

Appreciate all of the great content you guys put out. I loved the QBaB article that Ryan wrote on the 12th, where does the updated QBaB data live on the site? I find it to be very valuable when churning through my "open" roster spots each week. Thank you!!

Thank YOU! Good stuff going on at BHQ for subscribers!

Hey Brent - Give it to me straight...12 team 5X5 NL only league.  Currently in 5th, just half a point out of 4th (Top 4 finish in the money).  Pitching is my strength and I've been looking for bats.  Unfortunately, I lost Albies a few weeks ago and Harper on Saturday.  We are a keeper league and have minor league rosters.  It's time to punt, isn't it?  Thx!
Brent Hershey
1:04
Not for me; still early. I'd explore trades w/ the rooks to help fill holes.
Porcho Villa
1:05
Please rank these waiver wire rooks (12 team OBP): Jarren Duran, Olivares, CJ Abrams, Paredes, Gorman
Brent Hershey
1:05
Gorman, Duran, Olivares, Parades, Abrams

I did quite well with my pitching picks this year and need to acquire some offense.  Which of these pitchers would you view as a sell and which as a hold?  Woodruff, McClanahan, Cease, Skubal, Kirby, Gallen, Taillon, Manaea, and Kluber.  Obviously, each would net a different return and I can really use a big bat, so the first four guys listed are the most likely to get that for me.
Brent Hershey
1:07
Out of top 4, Skubal. Kluber, Kirby (might also get a big return), Manaea after that
Greg

5x5 Standard NL league-I'm looking to rebuild-would you trade 32 year old Jon Berti (salary is $3) for Michael Chavis ($1)  or LaMonte Wade ($3)  And Alex Cobb (salary is $9)?
Brent Hershey
1:08
Yes, though Cobb not necessarily a long-term player. Would def prefer Chavis<Wade, though. Might hold out; the longer Berti steals everything, the more you might be able to get??
Joe

Following up on Jake from Iowa'a final question which you missed responding to:
Brent Hershey
1:09
Ah, yes, Berríos. Not sure he's a cut just yet, but it's getting closer.
Joe
1:09
his question ( context is a deep league with guys like Dunning, Civil available to replace).                                   "One last question, would you dump Berrios at this point. He is killing my ERA! "
Brian K
1:09
as a followup Brent, My replacement would be Luis Arranz.

Do you believe Senzel or Naquin or both get traded this season?  And in COL, with new management, how about Cron, Blackmon and Iglesias?
Brent Hershey
1:10
Naquin more likely than Senzel. Iglesias more than the other two Rocks. So tough to tell, though.
Earl of Sandwhich

Hey Brent! Thanks for doing this! Since he just got promoted to AA and had a 9D in the MLBA, is your confidence waning at all in the The Human Condiment aka Coby Mayo?
Brent Hershey
1:12
Waning? Not at all. Saw him live a week ago in High-A and came away super impressed. Check out last week's podcast for more info.
Brent Hershey

Thanks, all ... another great week. Check out all our goodies at BaseballHQ (a few free articles every week); and save that date of Nov 3-6 for First Pitch Arizona conference at the AFL. More info to come on that very soon. Til next Monday ... may you and your teams stay healthy! Have a great one!
