This makes me so sad. I think the two issues are aggressiveness and the ball. He is swinging more inside the zone but not having the same quality of contact. I think he needs to be more selective in the zone. I also think the deader ball hurts him, especially in that park.

I agree with you the Cards should try to trade Goldy, but who would take him? The Astros have gotten the 2nd worst WAR production from 1B this year, so could they be a fit? Would that meaningfully impact his fantasy value?

Someone will take him. I don't know how much it would help for fantasy, but Goldy is too big of a name on an expiring contract to not get moved.
