Interesting about the CA! I've negotiated 8-10 CA's, and we often don't even start talks until after the previous one expires. The term of the previous contract ends, but the terms of the previous contract remain in place until a new one is negotiated. Thanks!

They're fun, but not  the best way to measure how good a player is, that's really all I concern myself with.

Can a player on the list of PTBNLs in one trade be traded in a different trade before the PTBNL is finalized?

Not officially. If you are Team A, and you are about to acquire a player as a PTBNL from Team B, you could tell Team C that you are about to get that player and can trade him once that's complete...
