Who goes 1st: Moncada or Schwarber?
Jeff Zimmerman
8:04
Moncada. Playing time and SB push him up ... unless Dr. Roto takes him
8:05
Small closer run.
AW
8:05
On that Shaw note....do you see Pham as very likely to reproduce his seemingly out of nowhere season last year and continue to be a stud? He smells a little like a Villar type entering last seasons drafts to me
seth
8:05
Osuna in 6th has got to be better value than Kimbrel in 3rd right?
Jeff Zimmerman
8:06
Yes. This is where I jump in for my closer #1
Pod with a pitcher
Mike Podhorzer
8:07
my ace at last ;-)
talk about overhyped sleeper - Luis Castillo going before Arrieta?! ridiculous
Craig in CHI
8:07
Why is everyone sold on Godley, after 1 good year, at his age?
Jeff Zimmerman
8:08
I'm sold if he can keep the velo jump and curve. The same type of changes that pushed Kluber and deGrom up.
Scott with no pitcher and Taylor goes.

8:08
Zola just really screwed up. How is Castillo > Arrieta?
Erik
8:08
Castillo a reach there?
Herb
8:08
Pod with Arrieta as ace? It’s 2018, not 2016
Erik
8:09
BP had a really interesting article on Godley. He comps very well to both Dallas Keuchel and Wade Miley. I loved what I got from him off the wire last year but I would stay away at his price this year.
Colito

Adam Jones *facepalm*
Mike Podhorzer
8:09
ha, that's what happens when I wait until the 7th to draft my first pitcher
WTF
8:09
Miggy...falling soooo far
Jeff Zimmerman
8:10
No more. Seems about right balancing the up and down side.
Solid pick with Desmond
Erik
8:10
Adam Jones is exactly the kind of guy who's underrated in fantasy, especially on sabrmetric sites like FanGraphs. We're conditioned to ignore high-AVG, low-OBP, shaky defense guys here but they're perfectly fine in fantasy. That's been Jones for years.
Jeff Zimmerman
8:11
Agree. AVG vs OBP makes a huge difference with him
Wow. Collete and Sporer lock up their second closer
Craig in CHI
8:12
Are there an inordinate number of LH closers, or is just me?
AW
8:12
Brad Hand terrifies me. Looks like Sporer got there with getting Desmond at a pretty decent discount though.
WTF
8:12
peeps are overreacting because of pujols, miggy a steal there
Jeff Zimmerman
8:12
I feel Miggy is boom or bust. Kiley is supposed to get eyes on Miggy and see how his swing looks in ST
Craig in CHI
8:12
Stephania's team name should be: putrid
Jeff Zimmerman
8:14
Braun and Lamb are tough to value. Even without DL stints, they could hit from 400 to 600 PA
Alan
8:14
Felt like I had to take Miggy there. Excellent option for a CI flier at this point in the draft.

8:15
is it really time for ryan braun?
Erik
8:15
Pretty early for a second closer, right? The difference between an 8th-round closer and a 16th-round closer is pretty small, but the difference between an 8th-round hitter and a 16th-round hitter is pretty large.
Jeff Zimmerman
8:16
Agree. I aim for two and go for a third in reserve or if one falls in a horrible situation (Texas, Miami, St. Louis).
Erik
8:16
Hi Alan
DVR is a Brewer's fan. Natural reach for Braun.
Jeff Zimmerman
8:17
I'm amazed about no Gattis
8:18
I'd not be surprised if Zinkie or Gamble don't double up on the way back
AW
8:18
There are A LOT of question marks surrounding just about all of the bottom 8-10ish closers in the league. It dries up quicker than you think and then you're left mining the wire for saves which we all know is an unenviable position to be in. I don't personally mind 2nd closers going right around now

8:18
I too, adore Gattis.
