It could link to the Ten Commandments being faithful is an important commandment and if evil wins it is breaking that commandment. It could link to the beatitudes because it was blessed and it came from Jesus.

The quote could link because the some of the Ten Commandments are do not accuse anyone falsely and you coluld be doing that also one of the Ten Commandments are Do not be greedy and want what others own. The beatitudes could link because you need to use them when the evil does wrong. You need  freedom and responsibility  to do the Bottom line is that the good men do nothing.

The quote also links to a Beatitude which is ‘Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God’ because if you’re being kind, you are a peacemaker.
