Don't get too cute with your lineups - in draft-and-holds, I think some people like to overreact to bad weeks from their "main" hitters because they see the bevy of guys on the bench. Stay steady, swap in when needed.

I also like to be extra protective of my ratios early on. Don't be afraid to sit your questionable starts early, even if it gives you major FOMO

I realize that this may sound like a basic question but, when drafting in the early rounds, is it best to avoid injury prone or up and down performers (i.e. players whose performances swing wildly from year to year)?

IMO, yes. You're building the bottom of your stat pyramid early and I don't want to build on a bunch of shaky stones. And going solid early frees you up to be riskier later.

How do you account for injury prone players in your rankings. Players would include the likes of Trout, Roberts & Buxton among others.

I bake injury risks in via projected PA/IP but also come up with a likely range to guide in-draft decisions. IE Say you're projecting Trout for 575 PA - I'd also have values for him for 500 PA and <450 PA to see exactly how much he'll actually contribute if injuries come and how well my team could absorb the worse scenarios.

When to draft them will depend on your roster-building style. I don't like to reach for a closer early but will grab someone elite if the price is right - if there's a closer run (as there often is) in the 4th/5th rounds, I'm probably hanging back.

Top-tier guys, I like Hader and Duran the most. Next tier, Iglesias and Romano.

And I love me some Mason Miller at his post-200 ADP but I go in knowing that his ratios/K's will likely be more valuable than his actual Save total.
