Ceiling might not be as high as others but his well-rounded game with a great hit stick screams MLB starter, and sooner than others
Condon got him on upside tho

Gore or H. Brown ROS

Is it worth using a roster spot on Coby Mayo in dynasty? Think we'll see him pre or post ASB?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:22
For sure in dynasty - but I wouldn't count on much pre-ASB barring an injury
Pitcher injuries
11:22
I get that the 13 pitcher limit was designed to speed up the game but doesn’t the increased injury risk and pitch clock make the rule outdated and unnecessary?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:22
I don't think it helps but also don't see them changing it any time soon

I know you’re a Andrew Vaughn hater but what do you make of his recent hot streak?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:23
He's having an insane June
Even I can't hate on that
11:24
But he's also been capable of power streaks before and often turns back into a limited profile pumpkin
11:25
with that said, he becomes a lot more interesting as a compiler with some upside if he gets shipped to a good team during the impending Sox fire sale

Is David Hamilton for real?!  I got him Correa off waivers.  Who is the better keeper?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:26
Eventually that BABIP will crash him some but he's pretty useful as an AVG/SB play
11:27
Definately playable as long as he's batting second

Is Locklear good enough to stick after France is back? Long-term above average starter? How does he compare to Manzardo?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:29
He's probably going back down once France returns
Still like Manzardo more but Locklear will hit enough to be above average

How do you think Chourio will do the rest of this season?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:30
Sshhh...We don't want to frighten him
11:31
Useable in fantasy but you have to deal with some big valleys
he doesn't look nearly as lost but a small stretch of good does not a comeback make
Rick
11:31
When Evan Carter gets back, is he a platoon bat going forward or do you think he's an everyday player by "next year"?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:31
by next year? yeah

11:32
How would you rank these batters at the bottom of my roster? J Ortiz, A Vaughn, M Kepler, J Chourio, J Soler and M Vierling?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:32
Ortiz > Vaughn > Soler > Chourio > Vierling

In my NL-only league, I've recently lost Realmuto, Yamamoto, MH II (after just trading for him), and Ben Brown to injury. I know I'm not the only one to get hammered with IL placements, so this is just a more general lament about how it seems like a TON of players are getting hurt this season. Recency bias? Probably. Still painful? Yep.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:32
super painful!
11:33
a glut of injuries always sucks but it's just devasting in NL/AL only

I see Baty is getting some playing time at 2nd base in the minors. Any chance he ends up as Mets starting 2B or will the fact McNeil is under contract through 2026 prevent that?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:34
I think 2B for Baty is more of a loose backup more than an actual plan
but also it's the Mets so who knows!

What is your view of Jack Flaherty in a 12T CAT Dynasty league?   Do you think his recent success is sustainable ROS and do you think it is sustainable long term?   I'm getting some trade inquiries and am thinking of dealing him.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:35
I'd understand dealing him if you get a great offer, as I'm generally a fan of selling high on lesser-tier (relatively speaking) pitchers
but I also don't think this is just a flash of success. When actually healthy, Flaherty tends to be pretty good - it's always just a matter of how long he'll stay healthy

Do you foresee the Tigers doing anything this year to try to solve their SS dilemma.  Seems the cupboard is bare organizationally.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:36
I doubt it
11:37
but yeah, that cupboard is pretty dusty

Speaking of Vaughn, in a 12T Cat Dynasty ... would you rather take a chance on him or Nolan Schanuel?   I see Vaughn sitting on the waiver wire but don't know if I should give up on the rookie yet.
