Can you explain this? A Plate Appearance should be every time a player goes to the plate. The lone exception is Catcher's Interference. While the catcher get an error, this event does not count as an AB or a PA. Imagine a player with 3 Catcher's Interferences over a season falls 2 PA short of qualifying for a a batting title. The question is why is Catcher's Interference essentially a non-event?
