Danny Jansen, Vaughn Grissom, and Michael Massey have driven me crazy this year with underperformance. Is this year who they really are: mediocrities?

I still like Massey but it remains to be seen whether KC will actually play him regularly vs LHP
Jansen is what he is. Vaughn is too but he's so toolsy that he's more capable of fooling people for short stretches

Can the Reds contend next year? Their starting pitching has been arguably better than expected with Burns and Petty looming...but what do they need to get to the next level?

Well the NL Central is certainly ripe for the picking

The biggest question for me is the rotation, given you can't trust the top-2 guys to stay healthy and young (though promising) pitchers are even harder to trust
But I really like their young pitching and the offensive core is sneakily solid

For next year I have Musgrove-32, Jones-4, ERodriquez-3, Alcantara-1, Myers-1, CSanchez-3, Weathers-4, Faucher-1. In an NL 5x5 is Musgrove the only nonkeeper  assuming Faucher starts off as closer?

Yeah, the power outage was a pretty big bummer. I wasn't expecting what we saw last season given his HR/FB% was way higher than it ever had been but still thought he'd push 20 HR
