Hi Not Rob,  Most decisions made by managers are the least of their job responsibilities.  MLB rosters are now about 60 deep throughout the season. Managers have to make every player's importance known.  It's complicated.  Furthermore,  they are recognized for the success and/or take the blame for a lot of decisions made by people behind closed doors who you will never hear from.

Who’s the toughest hitter you ever had to face?

Chipper Jones.  I felt like they made me throw him beach balls that traveled like golf balls.

Which was more fun: playing in the KBO or MLB?

I'll tell you which one of my children I love more after I figure out the answer to this question.

Thank you for taking this time for us. I know we spend a lot of time obsessing over the pace of play, I have a different take. I think we need to add a little more fun to the game. Why can we not celebrate a home run? High-five the fans? Have cheerleaders? Sing our favorite players to the batters box? I know the KBO does this and it is an event! What are your thoughts on this? Am I wrong?

Anything that can be done to improve the quality of the game while keeping it entertaining is worth discussing.  MLB needs to continue having discussions on how to make the fan experience at the ballpark better.   They are probably a little late to the show, but better late than never.

I'm going to wrap it up.  Thanks for the questions.  I really appreciate the work that MLBTR does and look forward to the future Q&A's with all of the great names on here.
