I mostly agree with that, and it's why MadBum is top ten for WAR for 2011-16 while almost always falling outside of the top 10 in individual seasons.  It can be tough to draw the line though, James Shields was more of a compiler and a guy I usually didn't consider an ace.

Great stuff on the Giants' outfield situation. I thought it interesting to see Mike Yaz is hitting well in AAA. Is he/should he be the next contestant on Zaidi's Outfielder Roulette Wheel of Doom?

Well it is the Pacific Coast League and he's not on the 40-man roster, nor has he ever made a prospect list despite his HoF grandpa, so I think the Giants would look at an Austin Slater or Mike Gerber type of guy as the next in line.

John Means a serviceable No. 3-4 starter in years to come? Do you buy the finesse fastball/change combo?

I like what he's done so far, but we're looking at 6 starts, not a lot of Ks in that role, and not a lot of GBs either.  I guess he could have a Mike Fiers type run if everything clicks?

Fernando had a pretty good first 5 games - 5GS, 5-0, 5CG, 4SHO, plus hit .438

Do you think packaging a bullpen arm with MadBum makes sense?

It can - sometimes the combo of two good players can extract a certain prospect who was unavailable otherwise.  I'm thinking of the Cubs adding Hammel along with Samardzija as the means to get Addison Russell.

Can you look into the comment area in you guys' facebook? One guy is spamming non related baseball links in almost every post

I did try to remove that guy once, but Facebook had a bug at the time.  I will try again though.

Has there every been enough interest in having a soccer trade rumors for domestic and European leagues?

It is definitely something that has popped up in our inbox occasionally over the years.  College football too.  We had a real first mover advantage with MLBTR that we have not had with the other three sites, and so it takes years to grind out enough of a following to make it work.  So I don't think I'm currently up for adding a fifth site to the portfolio and all that entails.  More likely, we'll focus on making the four current sites incrementally better.
With that, I've got to run, thanks for all the questions and sorry I couldn't get to everyone.
