Hi Sir/Maam,
My name is Vishwanath, and I recently discovered a photo-enforced ticket from March 2024 that I was unaware of. The citation was sent to my old Texas address, but I never received it despite having mail forwarding when I moved to Pennsylvania and later to Washington. I request a review and possible leniency, as I was never informed of this violation until I got a call from collection 2/4 (tuesday).
Yes I was chatting with customer service and they asked me to discuss this with the director as the scenario was unique.

If I get a min, I can explain the scenario here.

We have managers and supervisors in every service center for this reason - customers are welcome to request to speak with a manager at any time. I can also address any specific experiences or feedback you might have had, if you'd like to share them with me.

Thank you for the information but just visited the site and doesn’t address real life issues, experiences, or problems DC residents face when going to the DMV. We need a designated person at each location to address and resolve issues for DC residents

Hello
DC Dept of Motor Vehicles
12:17
We have multiple channels to address issues that customers face, including feedback cards and suggestion boxes in every service center location, speaking directly with management on site, and reaching the Ombudsman online as noted. Customers can also speak with me, the PIO, or reach out directly to Director Robinson. Here are all contact methods: Contact Us | dmv
William Shelton
12:17
Is is it possible to have that type of Ombudsman service at each location or do we need to request for council funding to make this happen
DC Dept of Motor Vehicles
12:09
We do have a DMV Ombudsman you can reach out to online at any time. Here is the form: Submit a request – MyDVASupport

Hi, what are the updated plans for DC to deploy a mobile drivers license like MD??
DC Dept of Motor Vehicles
I'm now ready to take your questions related to any DMV service and activity.  If you have a question not related to DMV, I'll try my best to redirect you to the appropriate agency.  Also, I may not be able to answer specific questions which require research related to DMV issues since I only have an hour to chat.  Therefore, if your question is specific to your driver license, a ticket, etc., I may request you submit it to us (Submit a request – MyDVASupport) or via 311 service request (http://311.dc.gov).
12:01
Good afternoon and welcome to today’s online chat with me, Chiderah Monde, DMV’s public information officer. Today, we’ll discuss your various DMV issues related to driver licenses and identification cards; vehicle inspections, titles, and registrations; and the adjudication of photo, parking and moving violations. We have over 60 online services (http://dmv.dc.gov/page/online-services) and seven facilities which provide in-person services to over 3,000 daily customers. Regarding tickets, we have two main sister agencies: DDOT which regulates parking (i.e., signage, meters, and parking permits) and DPW/DDOT, which issues parking tickets, along with 30 plus other entities in the District. Also, MPD issues photo enforcement tickets.
11:31
Good morning, please submit your questions now. The chat session begins at 12PM (NOON) EST.
