Hmmm ... I might keep at that price in an NL-only. Try to not let ST color too much ... but on the other hand, if a young player has seemed to "fix" a flaw, I do factor that in some. Sure seems like the rotation spot is his ... if you were 5x5, his K numbers are enough to say yes for sure. Still think I'd lean yes to keep, though

PIT seems like an interesting team this year. Cruz getting all the hype but could you see Hayes and B Reynolds as plus profit plays this year in roto leagues?
Brent Hershey
12:51
Wholehearted yes to Hayes and Reynolds. K'BH is one of my favorite breakout players for 2024, and Reynolds is just a proven producer. There's a chance that PIT lineup is a lot better than many think

maikel garcia or ezequiel tovar in a 12 team mixed h2h league? Does garcia hit his sb ceiling leading off for KC?
Brent Hershey
12:51
Like both; the leadoff aspect for Garcia (and SB upside) does it for me.

Bradley $10, Ober $10, Cano $10, Gausman $29, Grayson R  $10, Woo $10 and Civale $2.  Standard 5X5, $260 budget with K's replacing WHIP.  Give me your keepers.

If you got the room for 4 pitchers, Grayson/Woo/Ober/Civale at $32 is an amazing quartet. Personally not scared off at Gausman 29 at all ... but with the other choices you have here, that $ will be best spent elsewhere

The O's are loaded with minor league players ready for prime time, yet they have questionable pitching.  Many established position players who could be traded for pitching and would not be missed.  Am I the only one who sees this?
Brent Hershey

No.

Man, the Q is still filled up. Will try to squeeze 10 more minutes in...

Peraza, but on a different team

12 team dynasty - 6x6 roto w/ ops holds: have Senga $8, Bradish $4 and initially was going to give both three year contracts (not doing that obviously) but wondering if I should just cut bait and use the $12 at auction? Without the contracts they'll become free agents next offseason. Also, likelihood of getting FanTrax on LeagueSync? Thank you
Brent Hershey
12:57
Yeah I'd cut/revamp

Hi Brent…..I am in a 5x5 NL only keeper league.I am keeping  7 hitters and 1 pitcher…..I am top heavy in power and considering trading Seward for Burger. This will pretty much lock up hitting for me.I usually don’t keep closers since I look at most of them as 1 catagory players. So in essence I am trading a non-keeper for Burger….any thoughts???
Brent Hershey

Do it. Love Burger this yr.

Regarding Evan Carter's projection, I understand projections for rookies will be more conservative and Evan Carter is not a finished product, he may sit vs. some LHP etc. but I am surprised that a top prospect with his speed and on base skills isn't expected to steal more bases this season. Is Carter not a good base stealer or is there real SB upside in the projection?
Brent Hershey

We have him at 17, which feels about right given his MiLB history. Should help in that category; not be a SB anchor

Who do you like better as a contingency plan for Royce Lewis at 3B: Morel (assuming he gets the eligibility) or Ke'Bryan Hayes? (12 team OBP)
Brent Hershey

Hayes, easily

Thanks for the Max Meyer info!  Can i ask a follow up question?  Again in Miami lol.  With Puk potentially securing a rotation spot, do you see Andrew Nardi sneakily moving into the closer role if Scott doesn't live up to expectations?  Thank you again as always!
Brent Hershey

Nardi is a name to watch, yes. Think it's more likely for him than someone like Puk to take over should Scott turn back into a pumpkin

Best late-round SP option (12 team 5x5 QS): Kikuchi, Lynn, Detmers, or Canning?
Brent Hershey
1:02
Kikuchi, largely b/c of the QS? Though Canning is probably my #2; like Detmers' stuff but feels like getting deep into games is still going to be a struggle.

Didn't get to them all, but most of what remains fall into the "too open-ended" category (see notes above this box). As we're heavy into draft season (I've got 3 this week myself); remember to have fun! Best to you all, and we'll catch you next Monday at noon ET! Seeya!
