11 team NL only 5x5 Roto keeper, draft day salary cap $200, can keep up to 15. Who’s your last keeper, TJ Friedl, Will Benson, or Alek Thomas? All priced at $5, can keep Benson two years, others one.
Brent Hershey
12:31
Would probably lean Benson, given skills/price/contract. Needs to hit lefties, though; maybe with the injuries he'll get that shot.

Hunter Harvey looking great in spring; is the WAS closer gig going to be his by mid may?
Brent Hershey
12:32
VG stash is all we can say/know at this point. Doubt that he'll supplant Finnegan without an injury or poor performance. That might happen ... but knowing WHEN is tricky.

11 team 5x5 Roto keeper, draft day salary cap $200, can keep up to 15. Has Tylor Megill shown enough  to be a keeper at $5?
Brent Hershey
12:33
I'd likely take a shot; yes. Impressed when I've seen him this spring.

12:35
What do you expect from Bo Naylor this year? Can he be a top 12 catcher? Anything more?
Brent Hershey
12:35
Yes, he can be a top 12 CA, but this year? (t's tricky in a first go-around with staff responsibilities also. Like the skills, a touch more speed at the position than normal. But Top 12 might be a tinge too much for 2024.

Do you trust Craig Kimbrel to hold the closer role all season?
Brent Hershey
12:36
Probably not  ... but don't discount the current saves situation. He has a job and (as far as we know) is not hurt right now. More than we can say for an increasing pile of others.

Will Edouard Julien breakout in 2024? The strikeout rate and launch angle worry me.
Brent Hershey
12:38
Think with his collection of skills, fairly good chance he out-paces his draft cost in 2024. Does that qualify as a breakout? I'd think more likely big numbers in 2025 than 2024.

Would you add Bryan De La Cruz, Mitch Haniger, Colton Cowser, Michael Busch or Alek Thomas to replace Luis Garcia (Nationals)? I've read that his job is in jeopardy.
Brent Hershey
12:39
Yes to all, though Haniger/Busch my least favorite of this group

How does the TEX OF shakeup this year? Does Tavares see less at bats or do they rotate them all through DH?
Brent Hershey
12:41
Think they rotate; though Taveras is the proven CFer which insulates him a bit right now. Could change as season goes on.

Can you rank Luis Ortiz, Tanner Houck, Tylor Megill, and Trevor Rogers in a Scoresheet league?
Brent Hershey
12:41
Houck, Megill <gap> Rogers, Ortiz
Porcho Villa
12:42
Griffin Canning or Yusei Kikuchi as back-end SP flyer? (5x5 QS)
Brent Hershey

Canning

Trevor Rogers, E. Cabrera, B. Garrett. Rank please.
Brent Hershey

2024 value knowing that 2 of these guys are hurt: Garrett, Rogers, Cabrera

Is the Arsenal Report going to be available?
Brent Hershey

First one coming April 12.

Any reason why Soto does not blast 50+ hr and win MVP?
Brent Hershey
12:48
I'll give you three:
  1. Has never hit 40 HR
  2. Has never played in NY
  3. Plenty of oppo field power; LCF will take some away
Not saying that 50/MVP CAN'T happen ... but those are  ... reasons.

Offered Realmuto for Alvarado.  I have Naylor as C and my RPs are Romano, Kimbrel, Munoz, Kirkring, Martin.  This league downplays SB. OPS league.  Have to have 4rps. Thoughts?
Brent Hershey
12:49
You're getting JTR, giving Alvarado? Yes, I'd do that

Spring for both Payamps & Uribe have not been encouraging.  Who do you think gets saves till their stud comes back?  Or is it someone else?  Probably committee...?
Brent Hershey
12:50
I'm hitched to the Trevor Megill train. Well, have some Uribe, too. Probably committee to start, but like Megill/Uribe as better chance to eventually run with the job.

12:51
If Mark Canha has a slow start do you see the Tigers calling up a guy like Malloy to give him a shot or do they put Carpenter back in the OF and bring up Jung?
Brent Hershey
12:51
Malloy ahead of Jung right now if they need a callup.

Brent Hershey

Guesses ... $17 for Mize; $12 for Gil?

Good morning sir, In a dynasty 5x5 OBP league and getting close to finishing the rebuild of this team I took over 3 years ago. Think I’m going to be ready to go for it next year although if things break right I might have a chance this season. I’ve got 3 questions that should be quick: Our league has a fun quirk where we have two IR spots where you put a player on it and they have to stay there the full season. It’s a great stash for those players you want to hold on to. I was able to grab Felix Bautista off the waiver wire and put him in 1 of those spots. Would you pick up Ronny Mauricio and stash him in the other or just wait and see if he’s back next season? Is Cade Cavalli worth a pick up and stash in an IL spot if you have the space? Would you rather have a Jordan Westburg or Vaughn Grissom as a bench/backup MI spot for this year and for next year? Thanks. I look forward to these chats all week
Brent Hershey

  1. Mauricio - yes
  2. Cavalli - yes
  3. Westburg

How eager are the Chi Sox to get Kopech into a high leverage role?
Brent Hershey
12:54
Can't judge CHW front office/manager's intentions. I DO know that scouts have long been saying Kopech will end up in the pen; he has little competition and the first outings have been eye-opening. A target for me

Hey Brent, 16 tm dynasty 6x6 ops holds weekly H2H categories as season standings...Have Cole, Taj, and possibly Gausman starting year on IL; Have a little hitting depth and I'm a contender or planning on contending. Been offered two deals: Sale/Darvish for Yandy/Jared Jones or Pepiot/C. Javier for Yandy/Jared Jones. Wondering if now is the time to strike on Jones market. Could also probably do one of those two for any of those four SP's or something close. Thoughts on making either of those moves? Thanks and love HQ
