Do you factor in Rule 5 when calculating PT projections for players like Baddoo and Tom? Especially after they make the opening day rosters? Seems like current BBHQ of 122 AB (Tom) and 158 AB (Baddoo) are a little light, given the now likelihood that they will spend the entire year on the active roster. Reyes got 276 AB in 2019 in similar circumstances. BTW, bonus question: what is your long-term assessment for Baddoo and Tom, who both have hit their way onto rosters by showing promising plate skills in the spring?

They might be a bit light; but will firm up this week as we aim to get more info on exactly HOW they will be used. The Reyes comp is a decent one for Baddoo; though each situation is different. Feel like Baddoo has an easier path long-term (and those Rule 5ers of course, never have easy paths -- just ask Reyes about now) given DET's spot in the development cycle. Baddoo plays well, he'll get some leash; whereas Tom has a few more layers to get through in OAK.

Al only $260 11 team 5x5 keeper league.  I have Ohtani at $16.  Inflation is about 30%.  There is not much pitching to keep.  I can move Ohtani back from hitter to pitcher but have to make a FAAB or injury move to do so. We have transactions twice a week.  Is he worth it as a keeper in this format?  I do have Giolito ($5) and Means ($6) as keepers.  Thank you.

With the league restrictions you layout, and the keepers you have already, I don't think I'd keep Ohtani at that price.

In a 12 team AL-only am I worth even a $1 bid?
Brent Hershey
1:03
Probably, but only b/c of how deep the league is. Maybe ... try NOT to be that GM? :-)

Better reserve pick: F. Valdez (HOU) or D. Garcia (NYY)?

Garcia

Current COVID concerns aside, how much do you trust Miles Straw being able to return enough SB based on his current cost?
Brent Hershey
1:04
Might be tough, as the SB potential is pushing him higher than he warrants, often. I do have more confidence than some that he'll hit, though.

I've been on this for months and can't find resolution. I'm going to take one of these OFs this weekend: Brennen Davis, JJ Bleday, Alek Thomas, Zack Veen. Clock doesn't start ticking until they reach MLB, so willing to wait for highest upside. Does one of these stand out for you?
Brent Hershey
1:07
Not overly. I'd probably lean Davis or Veen

What are your thoughts on Stephenson making a positive contribution this year (Cin Catcher)
Brent Hershey

Would not consider in a 1C league, possibly consider as a C2 ... but catchers who hit so rarely do it right as they get called up.

How would you rank these three in a 5x5 roto league: Eduardo Escobar, Jazz Chisholm Jr, Josh Rojas. Assuming they all have 2b eligibility in your league.
Brent Hershey

EE, Rojas, Jazz.

Do you think the Mariners will call up Julio Rodriguez at some point in 2021?
Brent Hershey

It's possible, but if Trammell continues to hit, they have a young OF logjam, and with Julio being so young, might just figure on pushing that decision back a year. But ... they get hit hard w/ injuries, and could happen later in 2021.

Having trouble choosing between Skubal, Paxton and Peralta.  Please rank these in order.

For me, you have it right.
