I think you can still win with that core this upcoming season. The trick is putting the right supporting cast next to them, one with more hunger and speed. Jim Rutherford has his work cut out of him there. But, again, winning the Cup is hard. The Bruins, for example, have a heck of a team. They had a great mix of grit and speed. They have experienced Cup-winners like Chara and Bergeron and talented young guys. They had great goaltending. And they still came up short last night. I know the expectation is sky here, as it should be. But I think it's important to keep all that in perspective as the Penguins head into this pivotal offseason. If Crosby, Malkin, Letang, etc. don't win another Cup here, they have still had one heck of a run here.
