Todd, sorry to disappoint you but I'm a very lame dad. Like, my most frequented dining establishment is probably Scoops, the ice cream place in Bellevue. Any free time I get, I'm usually playing hockey myself. Occasionally, the wife and I spring for a sitter. We usually check out somewhere new since she's only been a Pittsburgher for two years now. BTW, I'm from Butler, where they just got electricity last week.

The locker room is full of very vanilla personalities with Hornqvist one of the few to show emotion .  Where is the emotion going to come from now ?
I understand the players are professionals but they are also human .  They did not seem to take the Hagelin trade well so how do you think this trade is going to resonate with the players ?

I'll lump these two questions together. You're right that Patric was a very popular player in the locker room. Kris Letang had a nice Instagram post last night about how this trade stings more than most. And there's no doubt that Patric remained a tone-setter, even as his role diminished. GMJR said last night that others are going to have to step up and fill the void, adding that hopefully some of them learned a thing or two by watching Patric over the years. I thought that was a nice tribute to Patric from Jim. And we can scrutinize these moves and some of you might be ready for a change in leadership. But you can't question whether Jim cares about his players. You can tell it hurt him to make this trade.
