At this point in the season, yeah, I'd probably hang onto both in NL-only. Would be looking to upgrade to another SP if it stays bad.

Do you think Gavin Stone is turning a corner, or just been lucky?
Brent Hershey
12:53
Incremental steps. If you're in a wins league, his uniform makes him worth hanging on to.
Lou

To date, Andrew Nardi has posted -22 for 5 x 5 leagues, yet the projected balance for him remains quite positive on the HQ site ($15). He's on waivers in our NL-only league. Worth stashing or is your forecast in need of a major update on him?
Brent Hershey
12:57
If you can stash (bench) it might be worth it. Crazy-bad H%/S% combo with exact same skills as 2023 says a rebound is coming. Always tough to rely on ROS projections for relievers when we have such a small sample of innings to this point. The skills (repeating, in this case) should be your guide. Good question, though.

How good can Luis Gil be this year? Is he 12 team mixed worthy ROS?
Brent Hershey
1:00
Not this good. Ks will be there, but 15% bb% rate has K-BB% at a lukewarm 12%. Crazy-fortunate BABIP doing a ton of work here. Might ride him out in a 12 (sometimes good fortune lasts all year) but if so watching his skills indicators and being ready to cut bait at first signs of trouble.
Brent Hershey

Whew, still a bunch of questions left. WIll fire through one more batch.

Vinnie P skills are exciting. Career year incoming?
Brent Hershey
1:02
Yep; could be. Surprisingly solid after shoulder surgery

What to make of Alek Manoahs return to the rotation? He roster-able in deeper leagues?
Brent Hershey
1:02
Not for me. Need a longer stretch.

Do we even know what Evan Carter is at this point? Sometimes hes out vs lhp, sometimes not. Swinging for power this year? Not using elite speed? The First Look write up yesterday says hold, but im struggling to see what we’re getting when its all said and done
Brent Hershey
1:04
He's a platoon player for now, which you can manage. Expectations were way too high in spring.

Latest on Jr Caminero says might not be soon - you still holding in 12 teamers?
Brent Hershey
1:04
Probably not in 12s. Butcha just never know

Hi Brent! Thanks, as ever, for these wonderful chats!
NL 10 team 5x5 - would you keep P Wisdom or try to FAAB Kelenic or H Ramos (I have N Jones returning soon).

Cecconi or F Montas ROS?

Less specific to my league: Is Beeks the new Colorado closer? He sure seems like it.
Brent Hershey
1:05
Might give Ramos a shot over Wisdom; Cecconi; yes to Beeks (for now)

16 team H2H points league. To roster Austin Riley or no? Can backfill with Henderson. No loss there really. Can backfill Henderson with Brujan? or McNeil? If McNeil, must slot either Winker or Sheets into his OF spot. Leaning to Brujan as Winker has "back" issues and Sheets is facing 4 LHP this week. My other OF options are Bader and Perkins. UUUgh!
Brent Hershey

Henderson, Brujan

Soriano, Canning, Singer, Whitlock, Flaherty and Silseth. Thanks again.

12 Team AL Only 4x4: Still trying to recover from losing Moncada/Robert/LeMahieu/Hays.  Should I start Andy Ibanez or Garrett Cooper this week?  Right now I'm 4th overall (4th in AVG, 11th in HRs, 7th in RBIs, and 6th in SBs).

Help, 5x5 Mixed League, too many starters, not enough spots: Bibee, P Lopez, J Ryan, J Montgomery, B Singer, Civale, Fedde, Gore - which 3 sit? (Thinking Civale, Fedde, Gore..) Thanks so much,
Brent Hershey

Hi, Brent. Deep, NL-only keeper league. Free agent Robert Gasser will create a bit of a bidding frenzy. Do you like him to hold onto a rotation slot with Brewers, even if he struggles a bit? Wins are extremely tight in our league, as is WHIP.
Brent Hershey
1:13
Think he could yes. Not 100% convinced he'll be worth a bidding frenzy

I have to drop one of Patrick Wisdom or Elehuris Montero. Any thoughts?
Brent Hershey

Wisdom; still hold out some hope for EM

Where does Jasson Dominguez fit into the Yankees OF when he comes back? Seems like a full house
Brent Hershey

bet he gets optioned to minors -- although CF defense is a thing

Before you laugh and hang up, how is Jon Gray doing this? His numbers aren't just hard to ignore, they actually look kind of decent!
Brent Hershey

Yep; solid pitcher who just needs to stay healthy (well, and stay out of COL)
