One more if I may - J Redfick, J Fargas, K Lee, Maton...thoughts? They are all available on my FAAB. Big $ will go to Adames & Kim — these others are replacement picks for Connor Joe

Reddick or Maton

10 team NL only. I am at the top of most pitching categories but last in stolen bases and third to last in average and runs (3rd overall). I was offered: Ramiel Tapia, Luis Castillo and Lucas Simms for Josh Harrison, Aaron Nola and Michael Givens. He has Daniel Hudson which would handcuff my Brad Hand if I could get him to switch out Simms. I have DeGrom, Peralta, Trevor Rogers, Wainwright, Hyang Hyun Kim, Logan Webb and Elieser Hernandez coming back on my pitching staff.
Brent Hershey
1:03
Might do that; there's some buy-low appeal on Castillo and Tapia might be for real

In a 12-team, 5X5 OBP league, would you drop David Peterson for Keston Hiura?  Other MI are Semien, Correa, and Crawford (would play Hiura when Crawford faces LHP; Util spot occupied by Ohtani most days). Other SP are Nola, Giolito, Morton, McCullers, Alcantara, Wood, E-Rod, Turnbull, Manoah, Sale, and Carrasco.  Thanks!
Brent Hershey
1:04
Yes, looks like you could take on that Hiura project

Thanks, as always, Brent for taking the time. I'm in a H2H points league and my closer situation is looking pretty suspect right now. I have Neris, Clase, McGee, and now Rodgers as well. I've been hanging on to Antone with the hope that he becomes the FT closer or moves into the rotation. All that said, I can only start two relievers/day and would prefer to free up some of these roster spots. Any thoughts on who will be least valuable for ROS? Thanks.
Brent Hershey
1:05
First, think rotation is more likely spot than CL for Antone, but who knows. I'd still hang on as you say. Least val CL out of that group is prob McGee.

12Team H2H Points - 7 Any Pitcher starting.  Best FA pitchers are Keuchel, Lamet, Boyd, Kopech, and Ynoa.  I have Matz, Urquidy, Alzolay as my worst pitchers - drop one of those for a FA?
Brent Hershey
1:06
I'd prefer Kopech to Matz right now

As a Detroit fan, I've been scarred by Robbie Ray. But so far in 2021, it's like the walks have disappeared. Is this real? How does he look ROS in a shallower (10-ish team) league?
Brent Hershey
1:07
They have disappeared. He's prob on the cusp on a 10-teamer ... but also an easy cut (assuming you can) if the BBs return

Bogged down with a few excruciatingly slow starting sluggers in Ozuna, Suarez, and Soler (5x5 OBP). How optimistic are you in a turnaround for any of them?
Brent Hershey
1:10
Holding out the most hope for Ozuna; Suarez's power pace if fine ... it's just that BA (and Ks). Soler's outage most concerning.

Best bet for SB rest of season-- Villar or Profar?
Brent Hershey

Profar

Thoughts on Framber Valdez? Looks like he's getting close to making his season debut. Should I cut Eovaldi to activate him when that time comes?
Brent Hershey
1:10
Prefer Eovaldi right now

Miami's Jesus Sanchez and Houston's Jose Ciri are off to excellent AAA seasons.  Do you think either has a good chance of being called up soon?
Brent Hershey
1:11
Sanchez more than Siri ... both via probability and chance of success

What will it take for the Cards closer situation to change, and will it be Gallegos?
Brent Hershey

More Reyes blown saves, and ... maybe?

Justin Turner opened the season on an absolute tear but has been ice cold since. Any insight into the reasons behind the slump?
Brent Hershey
1:12
No, though always injury risk there
Porcho Villa
1:13
How do you see the Clase/Karinchack SV breakdown shaking out ROS?
Brent Hershey
1:13
So hard to say ... 60/40 Clase is my best guess

Teams seem to be managing SP workloads more carefully than usual this year. Do you think this reduces the odds of late season shutdowns or bullpen moves for pitchers like Alzolay, Rodon, or F. Peralta?
Brent Hershey
1:14
Case by case basis; as depends on team context once we get there. Non-playoff teams more likely to shut down guys early; playoff teams more likely to continue to manage throughout season

hey Brent - 14 team, h2h, 6x6 (tb / qs), keep 22 league. Wondering what you’d rate this trade offer out of 10. I give Hoskins and means for woodruff. Hoskins is playing in 1/3 utility spots for me and his replacement is Dominic smith / jarred kelenic. My pitching staff now- Bauer, flaherty, urias, means, mahle, Trevor Rogers, paddack, severing, clevinger, mclanahan, gore, manoah. Thanks!
Brent Hershey
1:15
Yeah, give this an 8, though really like Means; but Woodruff a step up for me right now

In 12-team H2H catagories league. Have Framber Valdez and Elieser Hernandez coming off my IL soon and have Kikuchi, DeSclafani and Pineda as 5-7. Please comment and rank all ROS. Thanks!
Brent Hershey
1:17
Sorry for lack of comments, but my rank ROS would be
Kikuchi / Pineda / Framber / DeScla / Eilesr

What is up w Luis Castillo? The underlying metrics are indicating a turnaround but it's becoming harder and harder to trust starting him.
Brent Hershey
1:17
Agree on both. I'm trusting the metrics, but it takes faith.

Whew! Got through em all; thanks for the great Qs. Heads up for next week, might need to bump this to Tuesday given the Memorial Day holiday. Site/social accounts (BaseballHQ.com and @BrentHQ on Twitter) will have details for sure. Thanks all ... stay off the IL!
